hi!!!! thx for the reply!! we r the same! I faced all this situation b4.. no wonder i wondering,i just only unlock the door, then so fast it lock back.. >< My ABL also installed near rear boot there...

hmm... so u claim the front passenger central lock module, the sc din say anything or make noise? bcox u installed the ABL thingy? sweat.gif
*
it wont "autolock" back . .
for mine, once I press the alarm switch which is to unlock the doors, if i step brake without opening doors,
it will not lock back. Must open and close door before then only will autolock.

1st time, I complain, they asked what you do when that (door lock wont go down) happens ?
I said, I pull up and down, up and down roughly and very fast then the lock ok liao. .
few days later again it happen. Then they ask, ok, next time when that happen, u push the lock down once only, after that u come back to SC and let us check.

The next time I did as instructed, they open my door panel and check that module, then ok liao. They said they will claim warranty and change for me.

Well, if they ask, I still got other valid points to prove to them.
#1 Can tell them, you ownself go and see other 3 doors.
They are working fine, if they can open and close by themselves, means it is not my ABL issue.

#2 You go n take a new one. Fit it in and test. If can open and close, means it is ur module problem!

Worse come worse, F them then balik take out the ABL and go other SC try again whistling.gif whistling.gif

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 9 2013, 10:46 PM)
Last time I claimed the actuator (same problem as you) they refuse to honor my warranty, reason being exactly the ABL. I tried to reason with them saying the ABL is plugged to the alarm module, how could it affect the lock actuator? the actuator gave way because it had piss poor quality. They will not listen (more like they could not understand what I was talking about because I was describing to them how the ABL works), and they kept pointing out that the culprit is my ABL. I had to pay RM80++ to fix it.

This was at COSE, and was the last straw for me.
*
actually its not the ABL. . its the way the door and autolock is used. . if I think about the 2 reasons that I have stated before, I have the gut feeling it is really that because the 2 reasons that happen so many times cause the module to give way. So, when they change for me, my heart laughing d. AFter they changed, I fast fsat cabut.

king_lover23, u see dares situation. That is the issue I want to point out. Dont give them a chance to say this n that cause their part to fail, so cannot claim and ur warranty void for that part. If it is plug n play, then remove it before go claim. If normal service, usually they dont ask much. My issue is because I totally forgot about the ABL. Been there for so long d until I thought it came FOC with the car. laugh.gif laugh.gif

I know memang not the ABL's fault. The actuators only open and close the lock. The ABL only tells the alarm module to tell the actuators what to do. There is no direct connection between the ABL and the actuators.

It's the actuator's problem, plain and simple.
*
True, I agree.
But somehow I still feel the ABL played a part in breaking it.
Consider the 2 reasons that I have said in earlier posts.
However, if the quality of the actuator (this is the correct term ?) is much higher, then it would have lasted longer even with 2 reasons keep on repeating. hmm.gif

Thats y now I ask minister to relax, I stop car d, let me slot to N and pull hand brake first then only I open door for you. icon_rolleyes.gif

gps or waze both can do the job.. last time i rely alot on garmin by using my n95 8gb..
very very accurate.. after its screen kot, now change to papago or waze...

both can reach, but waze tends to bring me jalan all the small road..  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

uncle david, come muar come muar.. muar is the johor royal town now..  thumbup.gif
seriously,i love muar..  biggrin.gif
*
on a side note, I think waze always bring me go 1 big round and jalan jalan.
GPS, usually the fastest and shortest route.
Seldom use small roads or back lorongs.

but waze can see road infront got jam or not, gps show me the shortest road, so use 2 together = perfect nod.gif

how long ur actuator last b4 it spoil? after u pasang the ABL?
hmm.gif
*
I just claimed I think approx. 2 months ago.
I would say approx. 1yr 3months - 6 months like that.
Like I said, if it is really that 2 reasons that cause it to break down faster, then it depends on how many times it happen to your car.
My minister usually only sit my car on weekends.
Weekdays usually I drive alone to work.

No worries, just take my advice.
ask your passenger to relax.
slot ur gear to N, and pull hand brake if you are AT.
free gear and pull hand brake if MT.
then only unlock the door for them.

Mine that broke was the door behind the driver seat, and I rarely have rear passengers  sweat.gif So I didn't have the problem of passengers breaking the actuator due to "timing" problem  hmm.gif

Anyway...beating a dead horse dy. moving on....
*
then ur case is confirm actuator manufacture defect.
Y din try go back remove the ABL and go other SC claim ?

If this design, then only 1 cable 2tap into rear brake lamp circuit...
(If duwan 2tap then can push cable end into relevant rear lamp socket/plug...ensure snug fit lo...)

Best wishes.. cheers.gif

beyond standard, get the PnP version.
not sure now de ABL look like how, but mine got 2 cable and 1 lubang in total.
1) The cable (I dono what cable is this but original it is connected direct to the alarm module) from the car masuk the ABL relay lubang.
2) 1 cable masuk rear brake lamp circuit to get power for the ABL relay.
3) 1 cable come out from ABL relay masuk back alarm module.
Then finish liao. 10 min job.

OEM PnP type has a socket, a plug & 1 standalone cable...
Steps:
1. Unplug plug fr Alarm module socket.
2. Attach ABL plug in2 that socket in Alarm unit.
3. Attach Alarm module plug in2 ABL socket.
4. Tap standalone cable to Rear Brake Lamp sys.
That's it! All done @Boot LHS ONLY...no wires in2 car cabin nor fr car cabin wan.

Use Alarm Reset button to Unlock doors...

Hope abv a bit clearer... tongue.gif

Best wishes... cheers.gif
