girls are into slightly athletic bodies (i.e. muscular). not arnold muscular, just muscular. i know most of my female friends like the sight of a gymnast and i have no doubt they will not dislike nick auger's build. i believe those who are repelled by the sight of a muscular build is either insecure of their fatbodies (or twig of a body) or have some childhood traumas they are still dealing with.
you don't call ronnie coleman muscular. u call him freaky. those are physiques that can only be attained deliberately through serious effort.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ May 11 2006, 02:57 PM) Yes, i'd like to say otherwise. This topic has been debated numerous times. Take a black bodybuilder like Ronnie Coleman who has lets say a very well endowed organ like say more than 6 inches, if he weighs close to 300 pounds, any 6 inch d*** would look small compared to that kind of mass. It's all relative. I have to agree with darklight79. Actually, some male porn star always claim in the movie (cover of the CD) 9" inches d***. I think surely their size r slighlty above the average size, but not even the top 5% of the largest d***, maybe 7". But,in the movie , they look like at least 8.5" because most male porn star average height is 173 cm 5 8" (this is certainly short in European country for white & black). Pumping technique also make their didi look bigger. But, their d*** look big because it relative to their height. (all these info I read fr one of the web site , not I simply create one)

reply to the topic; you get in shape now because you dont want to die earlier or look like a balloon or potato. The real and realistic fact is that when you get older, your system and body will going down also. I exercise now is to prevent that happen to me when i'm at age 30 or 40, i dont want to be a balloon, or a walking fat, i dont want to walk down the stair with the any form of help. It is just that simple answer. Who in this world dont wish to lying down on the bed 24/7 and eat all they like to eat? That's not the way to go in this world. I just want to be active and doing something different everyday so that i have no regret after each day. I can clearly see those youth and young adults these days especially in my campus, do you have any idea how bad is their body can be? I mean, at first they look just nice when just enter the campus, but life goes on for another 4 or 5 years, and you know what? Like i said, the body and the system will go down when you age, and now i look back at all my friends at first they looked real nice, but now Needless to say more about it. We as a human need to maintain our body because it is just an old bio-chemical machine and its efficiency will go down through age, just like how we maintain our old car. But too bad that we cannot change our body like how we change our car. ~Cheers~ This post has been edited by iDk: May 11 2006, 08:33 PM

i bodybuild for the shallowest reasons in the world. at first it was to impress chicks. then i realise if chicks weren't interested in you when you weren't muscular, it won't make much difference when you really do get muscular (with the exception of you guys unlucky enough to be extremely obese or extremely skinny). but by the time i realise that it's too late, i'm already addicted to the iron game.
but i do notice the difference in treatment by peers (acquaintances, not close friends) and strangers. i can see the respect is there compared when i used to be small. it's sad but true. i'm also not as reluctant to get into an argument now(only when i need to stand up for myself) and i credit bodybuilding for giving me the confidence.

Part of my inspiration ot bodybuild was because of family history. My grandfather had amazing strength, I've still got an old photo of him lifting my grandma overhead with one hand. He used to lift the giant wheels of old fashioned wheelbarrows for bicep curls. My uncle was a Mr Junior Malaysia 1979 who had 18 plus inch arms. He had awesome genetics and he's one of the few who got me started. Sometimes you get sick of eating every few hours to maintain muscle mass, constantly watching to the time to see when your next meal is, but when you bust your ass in the gym, put on a lat spread and see those lats flaring out to the sides, feeling the pump. Yeah, the rewards speak for themselves. People with strong powerful physiques exude a type of confidence not seen in regular people. They don't need fancy ass clothes to look good or show off. The physique says it all. At the end of the day, it demands sub conscious respect cos you know when you see a bodybuilder, the guy's got discipline; taking intense pain by inducing microtears in the muscle; then supplementing it with adequate nutrition and rest to induce sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, etc. My 0.02
To people who think that women don't like muscular men, i have tons and tons of female friends who prove it otherwise. But hell, i don't do that shit to impress women. Of course i got a few girls who say you're getting too big or muscular, but then i don't give a shit. I do it to impress myself, not those who will never understand a bodybuilder's passion or dedication to the sport.
Why aren't the average Joes able to identify with the bodybuilding easily like football or basketball? Cos when you watch football or basketball, you're a spectator, but you don't necessarily have to PLAY football to enjoy watching it. But those people who go to a bodybuilders' competition are also those which participate in the sport. Only those guys can identify which the aesthetics portrayed out on stage. They know how it's like to constantly battle the iron constantly and can identify with the pain those competitors have went through to achieve those physiques.

Yo bata. Pretty old pic. Heh. You know those pics with b lack and white. Yeah, he was awesome. I don't have it anymore. I remember looking at it when i was a lil' kid. At that time, I didn't really have a relative concept of what strength was, so it was pretty amazing. Seeing a probodybuilder lift crazy ass weights is inspiring, but seeing a member of your family do that is awe inspiring. Those pics are are with my aunties now, ever since he and my dear grandmother passed away, we've had his personal items passed out among all of us. I wish i had it now, so i could scan it here. It may have been more than 5 years since he passed on, but the memory of that pic stays with me. It motivates me even when i have a crappy day and don't feel like going to the gym. Imagine, it was pretty tough for someone to gain mass and bodybuild during his time with the war and all. Yeap, one of my idols my grandad.

What's your form like? ATG or just to parallel? Freeweight squats done on a power rack or Smith machine squats? Rep range? These are important deciding factors.
