Alrite, thanks! normally such service costs how much?
*
I can't say for sure for Orient, but I would assume it's a couple hundred at best since its the average rate for Seiko's.

That's assuming it's normal service not including part repair.

Actually I've been wondering this for a long time: are both Blues the same? (The dial color for mako, mako USA & Ray)?  If yes, damn the impulse buy hahaha. But the friendly tauke gave a very good discount so the ray won't be an expensive mistake I guess. Maybe the mako USA next heheh
*
Mako and Mako USA is the same, I might be wrong but Ray is slightly darker and less shiny blue iirc..

QUOTE(Hans.R @ Oct 16 2015, 06:05 PM)
How to buy the USA model?
They only ship within the USA.
You got any lubang?
*
Get a friend to buy and carry back lol..

I see. Btw the orient star strap is same like bambino type. fugly weh.  biggrin.gif

I think they do come with different strap, but I honestly only see the choices in other places like Yodabashi. But a good leather strap change is indeed encouraged. Even Cocktail's strap is just horrendous. I'm looking out for a good replacement.

Hi Guys,

I will be travelling to Japan at the end of this month.

I'm looking to get a Orient watch in Japan. Any idea if it'll be cheaper if I get it from Japan?

My budget is around 1-1.5k ringgit.
*
Not really by much. Think the cheaper stuff would be the likes of Star or Royal as they are much more limited here, but even so it's not that rare. The advantage of buying in Japan is that you can get some limited edition stuff that never reached here.

hi guys, i just bought the Orient Open Heart Esteem watch. Love it.

But after a few days of wearing it, i found there are some "wrinkle" on the leather band. Is this consider normal?

And i plan to add a deployment clasp for it. Where can i buy a good and cheap deployment clasp for my watch?

Thanks guys. Newbie here.

I liked the pusher, at least it made Mako stood out slightly. Now it looks like some Fossil watch.

that new mako is a curiousity.
weird its only on seriouswatches, and not even on orient site or WUS.
and that price of 200 euros? zzz.
only a matter of time before orient's version of the 'X' appears on it.
*
There's a thread on it along with real life pics:

zzz, no wonder.
that person put it in affordables section instead of orient section.
still wished orient would actually put more effort to distinguish the old and new...new dial / new bezel / etc.
but at 200 euros, i think that makes the turtle better value tongue.gif
*
Yep, agreed. Don't know, while the new movement might sound better, overall I don't think it's much of a change.. Not sure why they never refresh it based on Mako USA though..

i think it is more than a small change - they might have changed to an entire different movement (hence no need separate day pusher), hand-winding, and hacking.

Hence I said the new movement hmm.gif
