I think MAS loses money on domestic routes.

80% occupancy could be MAS staff in the plane, company giving free ticket for their staff every year.

If RC who goreng up the stock is dead, it will made it to the paper's headline.

I'm not sure about others, but I personally will pay more for travelling with MAS rather than Air Asia. I've had no pleasant experience flying with Air Asia but I got to admit it is very cheap. Yesterday promo to HK return flight RM 500+ for two person.

They claimed the plane was old, oil consumption too heavy...............cant make money

as I know they made money from domestic routes..............they plan to expand it too

EPF hold 60% above of MBSB's share..........another not transparent company is MAS

Because yield is poor, especially in First and Business Class.


It has always been the international routes that are bleeding... as for domestic routes... well back in the 2005, the CEO then did openly say that of all of the domestic routes MAS was flying then, only three trunk routes were making money and those three trunk routes were said to be KL-KK, KL-Kuching and KL-Penang.

for me, if it is long hour flight, MAS of course preferred provided both ticket doesn't much difference in term of price.

Lowyat a lot of rich people, maybe some sit 1st class in every flight or got private jet

For me, PNB fund also another type of shadow banking.

Imagine so many auntie uncle willing to wait it in long queue and gonna grab any available units. it is often mistaken perceived as save as FD.
