Resak-Beranang from what I know had the Mercury issue. Other than that, could be the facilities build was a bit on the "too big" size.

not yet see this crude inside list...

QUOTE(LCL01 @ Sep 20 2013, 03:55 PM)
Nash, what's the annual increment like for non-core (e.g finance) department?
*
i believe exxon style they have like "force ranking" which to determine who will get good increment from each department, you are good performer, more than 10% should be no problem, some people got up to 15-20%, and from what i know, seldom HR expose the "salary bend" for each level, depend on which CL are you

You will start to care about it once it affects your work performance, motivation, pay rise and bonus. tongue.gif

I've gone through that situation long time ago, if you think there's nothing can do about it, then it's time to seek new opportunity, until that, you still need to complete your work as you've been paid, there still a lot people out there that not as lucky as we....

True indeed... it is the forced ranking but also a false ranking...
some people are falsely ranked below to accomodate the sweet talker... no need to do any technical work at all...
what do they do?  buat bising sana sini to look good...

and ere we've got loads of 'em...
*
everywhere oso got this kind of people, haha

I am pretty sure that the job will mainly be downstream related (i.e. deals mostly with refineries and petrochemical plants). Probably not the best option if you are looking for something strictly o&g.
*
Strictly O&G only applied to upstream? I don't think so...

QUOTE(jackwylde @ Oct 23 2013, 09:41 PM)
depends on the job.

in inspection,

ndt = 6-8k depends on the company
WI = 10-13k
API = 18K-idunno what max.

these are all most common lah. some got more some got less.
*
they need to take the course first...sum more their charge to client company oso high....depend what field they went to, upstream, follow upstream market price, downstream, follow downstream market price...

QUOTE(ultrajack @ Dec 12 2013, 08:50 PM)
hi, may i know is it possible to switch from downstream to upstream and vice versa? thanks
*
yes, few of my friends from downstream later switch to upstream, join Carigali HESS, Conoco etc. and some of them from upstream also switch to downstream (due to personal reason, eventhough upstream pay higher)...

great to know. because i am about to enter downstream and just wondering if it is possible to switch in the future. thanks for the info. anyone else can re-confirm this? smile.gif
*
Petronas hire a lot for downstream, preparation for Pengerang...sum more, depend on your experience etc. if you can perform well during interview...no issue into getting upstream or downstream...
