Just done on my first RG. So I try RG line with RX-78-2 first. Somehow, no matter how careful I clear the nub, the marks are still seen. It is like, the color within the plastic is not the same (usually darker) than outer skin of the plastic. I sand from grit 400-600-1000 and use the polishing compound coarse-fine and still, the nub mark still can be seen. Mad die me ><

it never cross into my mind of buying MG kit due to space constraint

i feel like buying one

same experience: my HG perfect strike's foot was ruined from sanding the nub mark with sand paper
after that, i only use the cutter and knife to minimize the nub mark, only use a little sand paper if still hard to remove

after i watch Seed HD remaster i already get myself one. still haven assemble though.

went to korea and bump into Asem Hobby shop. the price after conversion is more or less the same in m'sia, but alot more of Gundam n others + you can get 8% tax refund for purchase above KRW 30k.
dayuum y m'sia hobby shop so little choices...

i only get one piece BOA ship due to space issue

time to work my ass off on Freedom.....will they release RG duel, buster n etc?

In fact the color for sanding part is cured by Tamiya compound. However, the nub still visible. This is not the issue when I was assembling my MG Deathscythe and MG Shenlong.

My problem or first RG not good enough?

Nice!! the poison to get 1 for my self is strong

Now on a process to erase all panel line, make a new one since its so messy. I just use normal panel line pen, so when I touch it, it just messy things up. So now, since I got my gundam market, better make new panel line.

Again, tips on doing panel line? I'm lining all part I can do panel line. Which, kind of ugly in some way.

Yes you can do it with marker, but won't look so good if you want great result. It still in acceptable range, just don't use marker on large surface.

Well actually own preference, some like thick panel line, some like thin. Some like to draw all over the model, and some just draw the engraved line. Same case for the colour choice.
Tips? You can do it with mechanical pencil and can rub with eraser or cloth. The gundam fine marker for panel lining also can rub with eraser or cloth. You can do panel wash as well with Tamiya panel line accent, enamel paints or other colour marker pens. Mr. Paint remover or zippo lighter fluid can do the job well.

i use bamboo toothpick to rub/trim it off for very tiny area.
otherwise use finger/ nose oil / face oil/ tissue

then the tip of the toothpick use too much the tip area become a "brush" already haha... easier to rub more tiny area

edit: duno why la i feel newer batch of gunpla plastic is a bit weak anymore...

especially Destiny RG, i massive scratch some extra line with nail covered with toilet paper (on red part of the wings)... then the paper got red mark....
