I actually referring to those normal glow in the dark found in children toys, and it's not on sprue/runner, ready made.
How about certain materials that glow under certain lighting? Like how blood illuminates under UV inm...
those r made with radioactive particles inside, almost every glow in the dark object do nowadays cuz the charging version is not as attractive or last long due to its dim glowing nature. Just bcuz its childrens toys doesn't mean its completely safe. However u dun suffer any sickness handling those toys is coz How about certain materials that glow under certain lighting? Like how blood illuminates under UV inm...
1. the outer layer is coated
2. it reside deep inside the object
3. the alpha particles it spew out cant penetrate the skin (added with no1 and no2, this ensure no alpha particles ever got out)
4. u dun swallow it
Modelling on the other hand involves cutting, sanding, modifying, etc exposing the inside of the object. In doing so small particles is disperse in the air and we inadvertently and unavoidably inhale these particles into our lungs, our inside offer no such protection. Heard of radioactive boy scout? U know how and where he obtain radon from? Normal plastic particles is bad enuf for our health.
also uv lighting (aka black light) effect parts already existed long ago. ALL old gunpla beam sabers glow under black light, some newer 1s do as well (as for why most newer models didn't, cost reduction is most likely the reason). Unicorn and nu psycho frame do as well. At any rate this idea is not new. Been there done that.
