Freedom RG - RM90+ Freedom MG - RM120+ Since the difference is just around RM50, would MG be a better buy? |

QUOTE(acestoro @ Jul 29 2013, 07:33 AM) Yup totally hand painted.. The airbrush with booth somehow will still have smell doing indoor.. Have kids and elderly at home so not wise to spray and affect their health. Wow, never guess that hand painting can get such a good result. May I know what type of color you used? |

QUOTE(acestoro @ Jul 29 2013, 09:12 AM) I'm not the mainstream people who use acrylic paint.. I'm using lacquer paint. I also wanted to try painting my kit, but to get an airbrush is an overkill for me... since my main priority is to hide the nub marks.I guess maybe need practice over time will be ok.. not as perfect as airbrush but i can live with it. I am mainly use as per below Dark metallic dark & light green Metallic yellow Metallic white silver/dark silver Gun metal black Cool white Metallic red Metallic dark blue I can't remember what else I used.. i think that is about all.. to get a better finish for hand paint use thinner with retarder.. & remember to get a respirator.. the lacquer paint smell can kill.. QUOTE(acestoro @ Jul 29 2013, 10:04 AM) bro just try practice on cheaper kits.. i screw up initially.. but i think the retarder did the trick I have half a dozen of old HG 1/144 from the wing series. Due to its age (10 years ++) the 'white' has become 'yellow-ish' and the red become dull. I think I start with them by painting the white parts.pretty weight for smoother surface finish.. + top coat expensive kit or kit u like.. high chance will have heartbreak.. |

After some thought, I'm considering of cancelling my PO of PG SF. Reason, no space to keep, and no time to assemble it. Furthermore, I'm in love with RG...

Just realized that making a MG Perfect Strike using a mix of 'P' Aile Strike and China Strike Launcher/Sword is just around RM200. A more affordable option for me rather than RG Aile + RG Skygrasper combo, just to make a Perfect Strike.

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Aug 13 2013, 07:59 PM) uhm.. RG Aile and RG Skygrasper is only about RM180, prices nowadays u might be able to get cheaper.. size-wise, definitely MG is more worth it but detail and build-wise.. RG wins still Yeah, and RG also uses less space plus got sky grasper. But rg no battery pack, and I also like the mg catapult launch gimmick.BTW, just cancelled my PG SF pre-order This post has been edited by sphiroth: Aug 13 2013, 10:57 PM |

I have been trying to order that from my China supplier ever since the announcement of B Aile Strike ver. RM but even China is out-of-stock... guess everybody having the same idea Bad news then... Anyway, RG is also not bad. At least don't use much space and got skygrasper. |
