Ya.  Anyone to clarify whether is cbu or ckd?  What I heard is first 1000 is cbu
*
CBU - Completely Built-Up (or fully imported)
CKD - Completely Knocked-Down (or local assembly)
S-KD - Semi Knocked Down ( very little assembly like doors, head lamps and rear combination lamps)

Cerato is on S-KD basis, as there is no AP involved.
It would not be feasible to do CBU for Cerato and to commit high volume, as government has limitation on issuance of AP (approved Permit) for obvious reasons.

Hope my message helps.

Regards.

The 5 years warranty coverage is quite comprehensive, from engine, gear box to electronic. The list of item covered in the warranty is long too. Only wear & tear parts which require replacement at certain point of time are not cover.

i guess some SA have to buck up.

Is the cerato white color metallic or solid? I was told metallic by SA but forumers said solid. hmm.gif

I got my Cerato 1.6 on 18/7 and started driving on 20/7(Saturday) till now (just six days). Today I found that there are some water dripping in front of the car after drove about 10 mins and stop.I on the air-con at about 25 degrees while driving. Called the service center and the Malay lady told that it's normal, it's not a problem. She said it's air-con water and it happens to all cars, her car also has water dripping after on the air-con. She kept emphasized that" this is NOT a problem and it's normal" and sounds a bit unhappy to this stubborn customer who insisted this is a problem. She also mentioned that I should go during weekday and not weekend for checking, weekend only for car service but not checking due to the festival season.

Does anyone of you having this 'normal' problem? >0<

On the water that dripped from the front of your car, that's actually from the aircon due to condensation. Just like the aircon at your house, you have a PVC pipe to drain off the water, it's exactly the same for your car.

Some infor from internet for you.
