Yes, honestly by far RHB is the most backwards bank in Malaysia (compared to those I have used - Maybank, CIMB, OCBC, HLB, PBB and Affin).

The only thing is, for me, I already had a housing loan with RHB, so I already had to set OTP etc when completing the loan account opening process. And yes, I recall I kena need to prove the number for OTP was mine. Was a bit troublesome then as I was under a shareline at the time and need to write official letter to say it is me using the number.
DESPITE THAT, despite being an existing customer, I have to go to bank and physically pick up the card. Walao weh, even HLB, CIMB, HSBC, Citibank, Standard Chartered which I don't have any prior accounts with, they send to the house lah!

I've never needed to jump through so many hoops just to open a damn account.

Luckily for me, once all the above done, RHB Smart Account is easy, everything just do online, as it will use the credentials from your existing savings account with RHB.

RHB Shell Visa and RHB Smart Account are both "best in class" in terms of benefits, but really very leceh the way they do things one.

To get so much cb, u must have participate earlier than it was annouced here, r u a staff of rhb?

Just some sharing with everyone:

I have checked my transaction records for Q1 2023 (1st Jan to 31st March) for ecomm transactions > RM200:

- 1 transaction at 00:03 (to DBKL)
- 1 transaction at 00:15 (to insurance)
- 1 transaction at 01:06 (to Condomaster)

I received total cashback of RM32, meaning 2 x RM16 cashback (for Tier 1 spend).

All other transactions are after 1am.

If insurance is excluded (as most claim it falls under Tier 2 category), that means it was very uncompetitive in Q1 2023 (at 1am++ also can get the cashback).

Just received another call. Guy got pissed off after I asked him what is it about before I answer verification questions and asked me call their hotline. Hung up before i could say anything. Maybe I should blast him like you guys did

Base on these 2 tnc, E commerce tier 2 cash back not limited only to ewallet up up but only ewallet topup is limited to RM500 everyday. Mean the other categories in tier 2 might take up the all RM1000 allocation , so the ewallet top up winners might be less than 12.5?

Uh, CB Shell RM50 can be achieved with RM416.67 spend (I've tested this before. CB Bonus can be achieved with RM1000 spend (straight forward, 5% of 1000 is 50). Not sure why you put RM420 and RM1080.

Assuming you have RM1000 online and RM416.67 Shell spend, then your filler should be RM1083.33. Exactly RM2500 is enough, no need RM2501.

So confirmed it works! I need to spend 1.5k only each month to maximise the cashback.

recently i went to the petrol station that i used to reload my tng card, they told me system update, not allowed to use cc to reload anymore

Shell App doesn't get 12% via Shell Visa card, even though statement wrote the Shell station name.

RM50/RM2000 or RM60/RM3000 would probably fit my spending pattern
