For a GaGa, if talking about bottoming up then the only choice will be TAXI spring liao whistling.gif I carry hundreds of KGs of documents on Thursday going OFF ROAD at Dengkil/Banting/Jenjarom/Panglima site just like a 30tons truck sweat.gif
*
cannot also, i NEED lowered springs to have better center of gravity because saga/iswara chassis is just horse shit when it comes to cornering stability/body roll. (hopefully SOMEDAY people will fail to snap my car wheelie anymore lol)

so yea, basically drew the line and settled with the best of both worlds - progressive springs and short stroke sport absorbers biggrin.gif

means the hi-fly is quite a sticky tire also lo... macam my C drive 2.

So sticky that everytime I corner, it makes the poor goodyear at the rear screams. laugh.gif As a result of the stickiness, my FC also decrease a lil to around 10.8-11.2km/L compared to last time punya 11.5-12km/L.

but the downside is, it is so sticky that i can feel every surface of the road I am travelling on.
*
c drive 2 traction is good, grip so-so though.
by right you should be getting better FC since they boast low rolling resistance with their orange oil technology so it *may* be something else, or the good year (or whatever tires you had previously) had really poor grip AND traction which results in better rolling hence better FC.

then again, most enthusiasts would agree however that better traction is needed so the power transfer from engine > transmission > tires > road is maximized. the only thing is that these situations aren't very applicable in city start/stop or cruising situations sweat.gif

comfort/NVH wise, still the most comfortable tires i've been on although i havent tried neogen/Advan DB yet.

maybe they are just comparing it with another C drive 2 without the orange oil thing. lol
*
c drive 1 ke? nowdays almost all of yokohama's tire are using their orange oil technology, even their recent AD08R tires that i am bulking lol

dunno whats the predecessor of C drive 2... laugh.gif

I thought C drive 2 is a spawn off from the regular C drive coz I saw lots of shops still have C drive and C drive 2. laugh.gif
*
ya lot the old c drive lo, that is correct.

c drive's are still being produced btw, some people prefer it for its harder compound/slightly better performance than c drive 2, although funnily, yokohama officially rates c drive 2 performance being better than c drive sweat.gif

marketing 101 mah...

new product must have BETTER stats than previous product. laugh.gif

Last time when I was still in Sony, when the new entry level LCD TV comes out replacing the current one in the market, the memo for the product gives promising features and spec but when the actual product came, the moment a video was plugged in, OMFG MAH EYESSSS.... >.<
*
rofl that could be very much the case, more so when there are no external rating for a baseline (eg: DOT ratings) XD

OMFG i thought i broke my drive shaft/cv joint while exiting a corner... there was a loud grinding sound that persisted
paused my audio and the noise didn't seem to come from my car. looked around and spotted a honda civic fd2 having its tailpipe/muffler grinding against the road with a lot of sparks

i was pretty much self giggling right there that i forgotten to up shift back as i downshifted to overtake him as i scare his muffler will break and smash my car LOL
rpm went up to 7.2-7.3k by the time i realized the loud engine roar and up shifted accordingly ^^;

oh and driving now in my car sucks, no cabin filter, haze everywhere while on the way to work sad.gif cry.gif

back to the issue i have, any recommendations on which type of springs i should get to solve the issue? there's not much info on the progressive/non-progressive springs for local brands and Eibach doesnt have the spring for BLM  doh.gif

or else going back to OE-spec springs?
*
actually even hnr didn't make for iswara officially (can see their webpage) and i believe eibach's the same.

it's our LOCAL distro bringing our car's springs/spec samples to the folks at Germany for them to produce a spring for our cars, tested it etc, and sell them only available to local market (again, unofficially if i may add)

=edit=
if you want the best comfort with the lest worries of tires hitting fender etc, no matter what, stock springs from the car originally will still be best (springs can easily last over 10 years barring freak accidents, btw)

stiff ring is for eliminate steering vibrate isit? how muchie?
*
not really, lol.
i have stiff ring too and the effects can vary depending on how the lower arm is designed for each cars.

hell if you think of it, considering the chassis flex less, no free play, if your steering does vibrate, installing stiff ring may as well make your steering vibrate more tongue.gif

that's why i mentioned suggestive ma. i've posted my review for my car on the stiff ring thread (need to dig it up lol)

for the money i paid, its good la. and the stiff ring so far haven't deform unlike how some people's stiffrings are especially when compared to reputable tuning brands such as spoon that are 2-3 times (or more) the price of stiff ring

and no sifu la, that time owner said iswara no sample, so asked me if i wanna do it since i was very interested in it posting on the thread. since i got special discount for being the first sample, just whack it lo lol

stiff ring is from 1 manufacturer only right?

this one?

*
no la, manufacturer is actually some kilang that the owner knows lol. the owner is just like us lol

and no, the air craft thingy is BS la. if you put stiff ring on higher powered cars (say, around/over 200whp?) over time it'll deform LOL

for proton, no problem la, our car not much power pun w

3bond doesn't create hutan bakar when use... those making tons of smoke are either oil or water based decarbonizer which is harmful to the engine.

actually it does, depends on your intake/carb/TB/engine condition smile.gif
