Hmm looks interesting.. i wonder if it'll play as nice as PGR or BR..
Who has played the first Test Drive on the PC? hehe.. i remember having to drive thru mountain roads, dodging traffic and stuff.. and at the end if you manage to bring the car back in one piece, you get to keep the car. i remember only 2 cars though, Ferrari Testarossa and the Lotus Esprit. |

Actually, what are the objectives of that demo? When it boots up, it complains it can't contact the TDU servers. The u pick a car and drive around the island? Is there anything else we can do? No doubt, its pretty fun driving around, i ended up trying to destroy as many police cars as possible..
Graphically, i have to say i was appaled when i saw the lamborgini driving out of the garage. There's absolutely no anti-aliasing at all.. The jaggies were so freaking ugly. As the synopsis says its still subject to changes but so far it is good. Its a MMO you can form your own club, have your races, buy a house. Its different from PGR3, its being a datuk and having that fancy car picking up young chicks and being gatal
The demo is not the full feature so the jury is still out |

well if you actually connect to the server you'll be able to challenge other players.... so far out of all my attempts i only managed to connect to the darn server 2x... as for offline you'll be able to challenge the ai drivers.... when you do, they'll bring up the map and you can set the finish line for the race... the race then starts.... i think the controls are still very fiddly...

erm...played after awhile,i wont getting this game.
demo didnt give me any good impression. looks like a pc graphics to me. not really like next gen graphics. as for the controlling scheme, sucks.. this game is more like a rojak campur pgr3 campur nfsmw campur nfsu2 to me. yes it is my impression. |

Well, I am downloading the demo right now. It hopefully will be downloaded by tomorrow and I will be able to decide whether I am gonna spend money on this game or not. After the last demo I wasnt too sure because of the control scheme.

the handling in the new demo is similar to that of the old demo. its a little more drifty but not an awful lot. its better.. not much better the handling but its an improvement, looks like im getting this one. =D

Arrgg.. racing games.. not for me.. but as I was trying out the demo.. I decided to stalk a person online, first I caught up to him and I PIT'ed him. Then I act like I was gonna speed away but I released the gas to let him catch up, then I PIT'ed him again.
Then I lost control of my car, and he ran off. I gave chase to him, then as the distance counter decreased from 500 yards to 300 yards to 10 yards.. BOOM!!! Vertical TAKEDOWN!!! Damn! Wrong game.. deleting the demo.. |

Ummm you know i think the bikes have a huge advantage(probably why they were not in PGR3) caude in each race a bike can have a 10 second lead over other racers. Wow no wonder i dont see Moto GP vs F1 on TV

Need some pointers. Keantan/PoP, does your HUD says "TDU server unavailable" when you start the game? I had that very message coming up on my screen when i start the game, does it even mean anything? I tried going into challenging global players online, but none came up that matches my criterias,.......does this mean that it is not connected to the TDU server or simply that my shitty Audi TT does not match the race criteria of the hosted races around the island?
EDIT: A couple of the Euro guys are also experiencing the "server lockout", maybe the servers are still reeling from the massive onslaught of incoming online connections? Theirs was partially resolved on the 9th September though, im still waiting for the Asian servers to pick up the pace. Seems like the Xbox Live and TDU servers are separate on this game, my Live is fine and dandy, NAT Open and all, but the game is still giving me "TDU server unavailable" message all the time. I mean, i can see the leaderboards on each track segments and all, and i can even look for custom matches but it is just i cant join them, a few of them because my car is crappy, the others is greyed out. I think it's up to 8 players, locked together while freeriding on the island. Whether you choose to race each other while taking in the scenes, that's totally up to the group.
 You need to lock each other into the group to do this, and im still waiting for bro PoP or Keantan to come online to lock myself into a group with them. On other related notes, i've been doing a leasuirely drive around, picking up chicks helping them with their chores. Sent an American, Italians, and a Russian chick already, and got 15 free clothing coupons to change my looks in the game. Im currently trying the "designated driver" mission where a guy would ask you to drive his car (random, my bro got a souped up Chevy exotic, while i got a Ferrari *yay!*) to the repair area. Damn bloody long track and you are constantly looking out NOT TO CRASH OR DRIVE OUt OF THE ROAD to get the perfect rating. In essence, you are either an accomplished driver, or you drive like a grandma, which is what im doing and STILL get bumped, scratched, and pushed to the kerb and beyond! Im fishing for the perfect rating for every single mission in this game. BTW, you dont get to keep the cars after this event, only get to keep the fat cash check. More money to fill the garage with cars, baby! |

We are working on increasing the server limit, as well as fixing this issue with an update. Connections issues (message « TDU servers unavailable ») Players may have noticed some "TDU server unavailable" messages during peak periods. This is partly due to the number of simultaneous players growing very quickly in a short time. We are currently tweaking our server to improve the performances, so connection issues will be greatly reduced. The extension of the server's capacity will also help to solve these issues. Difficulty to find Friends This is partly due to the server becoming saturated during peak hours. It will much easier to find your friends when the server capacity is increased. Currently filters work only on the map - they are not properly implemented while driving. This will be fixed in the forthcoming patch and players will then be able to see only their friends in the game if they wish. There follows some additional guidelines to make playing with friends easier: How to play with your friends: 1- The first player goes into a less densely populated area as shown on the map, then zooms in to the island. Other people that want to join him then select him from the map. Players will join a session that's not full in this area, so the chances are high that this will be the first player's session. 2- As an alternative, the MS game invite is a very powerful tool, and can be used from a multiplayer lobby as follows: - create a multiplayer private session - send an invite to your friends - race as you want in the created session - if you get bored of the race you're in, you can change for another one and bring the whole party with you (option available once race is over, before restarting another one) 3- Another way to play with friends is to create a club, meet at the club and start play from there. Problem in Drive-in The game freezes when the number of custom challenges in a drive-in is above 256. This is fixed. The maximum number of available custom challenges in a drive-in is now set to 255. This is a server based fix. The Update will increase this limit so that anyone can post a challenge anytime. NOTE: The first Update was released on Monday September 11 which deals with a number of issues, but does not include any of the fixes listed above. The first Update fixes a small number of gameplay exploits (loopholes). We'll keep you posted about the second Update. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Hmmmm, that was fast! The minute i turned on the 360 after i've posted my grievance about the servers unavailable, they are now available already. Cruising around the Live-multiplayer areas reveals.....real-time conversations that comes and fade just as you drive past the competitors! Just like in real life! Saw the bike for the first time, i think she (yes, a woman) was heading to her loft.Now trying to earn more cash to upgrade for the next car. Better lofts will have to wait....

As much as that would be sarcastically funny, i reckon it would be somewhat like how multiplayer games in most Live-enabled and Live Arcade games works like - your 360 only sees what it can connect to, and nothing more than that. With such "excellent quality" provider like Streamyx we are getting here, i wouldnt fear any sort of traffic jam around Hawaii, much less around a particular spot near your loft. The American, heck our Singaporean neighbours would be able to see more challengers/competitors on the road than us.
Of course, when you are engaged in multiplayer races, the section of the road in which the race occupies will only have AI cars, and not the other roaming multiplayer racers. Even if they do exist there, it would not register as a solid obstacle in which you could drive through it anyway. I could be mistaken, once the TDU servers are up and running and more players gather, then we could confirm. Im getting sick and tired of all the shooters in 360 anyway already. |

My internet seems to be working ok atm, albeit not fast but working, TDU doesnt seem to lag all that much with me. if anyone wants to race me tell me when where and what class.. also I can add people to the LOWYATDOTNET club (free achievement for u for that) so be sure to PM me either here or on LIVE (preferably here, I dont have that much time today to play, maybe late at nite).

i have a dream last night and we all playing TDU but with Shutokou Battle X style like we all running around the island and look for wanderen and it was 16 players online and 5 players going to look for the 11 wanderen.

Tested online with PoP last night...
Without reading the manual, straight jump playing online. A very confusing to join the LYN club earlier, tried many times until console hang... After reset, play again & i'm in the club already... Just notice, disable the driving aids, i can feel the car got more juice...very easy to drift...lai lai dreamyghost... Tonight will continue the journey !!!!!!! Just to confirm - the downloaded Launch Pack cars, Audi and Nissan Skyline - not free is it? Still have to go to Nissan & Audi showroom to buy?

They're expensive cars too.
This game is like crack. Usually I can only spend an hour or so playing a game before I get bored/distracted, but I lost the whole night to this game. The car delivery missions are brilliant. |

Just upgraded to a F430. Much better than my initial Audi TT. Still can't join the Club. Nobody responding to my invite. Guess I'll be a loner on the Island. This game is much better than my impression from the demo. The coastal freeway drives are just beautiful ..... I can literally feel the breeze. However, controls could be better ..... |

called fedex spent 30mins giving them a free lecture... my lecture topic was "why cant fedex update customer when kastam make delay"
pity that girl answered my call. screwed her kaw2... i insisted speaking to her supervisor but her supervisor refused to do so. in the end that girl cannot tahan so i told her why dont you let me speak to your supervisor lah. fedex supervisor damn action... aruged with me said since my package got 2 dvd movies they need to delay 1 more day because kastam need clearance from kementerian dlm negeri! WTF... if got delay then update the online tracking system and call customer back lah. supervisor also kasi hentam kaw2... imagine lah TDU & DTG power combine together shoot her kaw2! so no TDU tonight... they said tomorrow 10-12 delivery going to complain and make it big with fedex US now |

finally items arrived...
order 3 items (2 movies + 1 game) and package was opened for inspection. the best part was my TDU also kena opened by kementerian hal ehwal dlm negeri (KHEDN) ppl! maybe my limited edition TDU got something can threathen the country or maybe the free key chain is a threat to the country too. dvd movies they didnt opened at all but they opened the game and look inside the game. well the TDU box was kind of damaged due to the stupid heavy duty KHEDN tape/sticker.  stupid sticker damaged my box  see you guys tonight  these 2 movies they didnt opened and check... weird! they should have suspected Dragon Tiger Gate as some pron movie! conclusion... this time my order through fedex all messed up big time! |

There's a bug in the game. Sometimes, when you go off-road during a race, the female voice will say "You are going the wrong way" even though I am actually in the right direction, and I end up in the last position despite leading the race. Irritating to say the least. |

thats because it records your last position leaving the road thats why. presumably because the map is so big and it takes to many system resources for 100% real time tracking. same thing here.

Hehe guys check out the MV Augusta F4 Tamburini, better than the ducatti. heheh IMO the handling is way better and top speed is higher, even though no ducatti name hehe these are all level 3 moded though and i have both

The thing that annoys me is the leafs and paper that keeps flying all over the place. Don't like that at all. Kinda like a "cheap" effect. |

make sure u guys buy the car from class A to class G...and mod only one of the best car in each class...unless u got cold money to waste it...
i prefer to race in lower class rather than class A, mistake of newcomer, always want the laju-laju class A....hehehe Zaakath, long time not playing together....this game is a mix of PGR3 & NFSMW....change the driving aids to suit the style..i prefer turn off for drifting & sliding... Wel, complete the single mission 1st before racing online...haha If not tired tonight, i'm ON waiting the rival !!! |

Dont bother with the lambo gallardo standard, get the convertible or the SE model the SE model is worth the extra cash. I own a bright orange one myself with twotone black.. damn chun.. Saving up for a murcielago and a gallardo convertible =D

not that i noticed. but then again i moded my cars (if they are modded) to the max.. other than the mileage go up, there is little change, what i DID notice for some odd reason, the bikes especially, they handling becomes more forgiving after the first 400km ish... odd.... but my mv augsuta with about 600 km on it is the best handling vehicle in my collection (of currently at time of posting 28 vehicles). That is modded to the max, tops out about 360kph (hehe get it xbox 360, 360 kph... ok that was just bad) anyways, the cars start to handle better imo after 400km hits their odometer, whether thats just me getting used to the cars i duno but it seems to work great =D

hahaha.. mv agusta.. yum yum.. yeah.. these type of races: lonnggg & borringg, u need to use the bike.. cos 1) its long & boring
 2) if ur using a car, too many things to do: drift, brake, slowing dwn.. with a bike, it feels like free-riding.. no worries 3) its way much faster 4) urm.. im out of reasons .. so yeah, any long races use bikes...anyone wanna go "rempit" free-riding.. pls let me knw.. kinda got a lil bored riding alone.. haha.. |

I would suggest you visit all the car showrooms first to unlock the bikes, then get the MV Agusta Tambourini, tune it and then only do the Millionaire's Challenge again. Only bronze cup. Took so long to do, I don't know if I can do it again. Are you people using bikes for it? I thought you could only use Class A vehicles? Or does that apply to bikes too? I haven't unlocked bikes yet... |

I have an Enzo too. I don't think it's in limited supply, just that maybe it's only available in the showroom after you completed certain % of the game or reach a certain level. Perhaps samurai20 is not there yet.
Now thinking of which McLaren F1 - there are 3 variants available to me - the stock unit, the GTR version and the limited LM version. Can't devide which one to get - the stock F1 looks like best value for $ - highest max speed (240 vs 211 for the other 2 version) although slightly inferior in acceleration, handling and braking (about 3-5% less that the other 2). Advice anyone? |

Fairlady only S-Tune ler.... no Z-tune for Fairlady yet, only R-tune planned. Hehe.
Driving the 2 lane roads feels like driving in our Malaysia roads.... even other drivers similar, hogging the overtaking lane, change lane for no reason, etc. |

finally my ultimate rival is here...jaylike..
turn off the driving aids = more juice & easy to drift.... enzo? no lar...buy saleen & mod it, can tapau enzo....400plus km/h...crazy.. i haven't unlock the skyline gtr yet... any idea? |

Yup Sakailine GT-Argh and another car (forgot the name) have to download the free DLC.

hello peeps, just got my tdu, wait me 1 week yah, to get more moolah for cars. btw, since today live is down for maintenance, if i play offline will my achievements be counted when live is back "live" again?

for the city explorer achievement, if we drive against the traffic flows will that counts? i did noticed that all the roads that i drvied on against the traffic direction all dark blue color. those that follow traffic directons are light blue...

just finished millionaires challenge... 57mins the last 5mins damn intense! reward was 1mil but i got fined for about 100k something. whacked so many road blocks!
