QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jun 25 2013, 01:32 PM) come on, that snatch thief infested area has some dignity ok? say its name, say it!!! MALAYSIA! anyways, joytest, the LG ones how much are they? http://list.qoo10.my/item/LG-WCP-300-WIREL...R-THE/410031573RM99 + RM15 shipping. It's more than 50% off the regular price. Should be about 10days to arrive if it didn't suffer the same problem I had. I decided to get it because it can output 1A max. The ones by Palm for the Pre were only 500mA. Hopefully the charging coil can provide at least 600mA.

QUOTE(kurtkantoi @ Jun 25 2013, 01:42 PM) Hi joytest, I'm currently looking for car dashboard mount for Note2. Any recommendation. Need a good one but not too expensive.. Car mounts, I don't know but you can check around. Some like Exogear are pricey but supposed to affix to any surface well.

QUOTE(ZoidbergFry @ Jun 25 2013, 01:44 PM) Got a question here, the sides of the note2 is chrome coating, lets say my case does not cover the top part and the bottom part of those chrome areas,i guess i will get lots of scratches... Any suggestions besides buying a new case to prevent this? Get one of those cases that fully cover the bezel. It's called the bezel. You can check with yyt since he's also in PG.

QUOTE(ZoidbergFry @ Jun 25 2013, 01:55 PM) those cost around RM120++ no money for food if i buy that Just coz alexng2208 has a sweet looking gal for his avatar does not imply that he is a sweet GUY. Your phone will be sticky from all the tape and will make people wonder what were you doing with it's 6" length....... You can check with yyt as he may have some suitable stuff. He sells casings.

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Jun 25 2013, 04:08 PM) From what I have been reading from the threads, most if not all awaiting the arrival of Note3 were saying that they hope it would be between 6 to 6.3 inches. Hence my statement. I do wish for it to be 6", maybe 6.1" Any larger will be a tight fit in my jeans, but my slacks are still ok. Time to get cargo pants.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra : http://androidheadlines.com/2013/06/sony-o...6-5mm-thin.htmlWrite and sketch with any pencil and selected stylus or pen (capacitive stylus or metal pen with tip diameter over 1mm) =============== Practical problems ....... pens will leak ink and smear. Pencils will leave CONDUCTIVE carbon dust. There are VERY FEW capacitive styli between 1mm to 4mm. I have only seen 3 types of styli with these diameters and nearly bought a couple but held myself back. These cost from RM80 onwards. And you need to pocket it somewhere... So, despite the fantastic specs, I think we can wait and see what the HTC One Max and Note 3 will bring to the table. This post has been edited by joytest: Jun 25 2013, 05:00 PM

QUOTE(neo0915 @ Jun 25 2013, 05:22 PM) Like the design, water proof... Jz feel like the pencils or pens thingy is not very practical for me... If u have brought a pens and notes, why dun jz write eveything in the notes instead of write it on top of a phone... I think the "emergency use" scenario could apply, since you need to have something handy to write with. So it needs to be some sort of conductive device. The old plastic pointy styli that uncle benny has lying around won't work. Thing is, you need something OUTSIDE the phone. This means that Sony saves on an accessory and can sell you the idea that you can use a stylus if you want. Let's see what kind of ad they have around this feature.

Xperia Z Ultra has a LYN thread now. Pretty fast moving, looking at all the comments.
The ads for the pencil use seem quite nifty, but we can wait for the full blown reviews. The only downside is no stylus slot. The assumption is probably you have a pen or pencil lying around all over the place. There was a short clip which showed some mountain climbers using the pencil to draw on the pic.... I don't know if mountain climbers carry pencils. Maybe they do.

Just to get come clarification, i got nothing to worry if my note 2 is stock unit right? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i already installed the new update If you did the stock update and don't intend to play with custom ROMs, you are fine. QUOTE(maru @ Jun 25 2013, 06:27 PM) Battery life? Same? Or drain I don't know, other forumers may inform. I think the flashoholics won't notice. QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 25 2013, 06:53 PM) This looks like a tablet to me now. It will still be slightly smaller than a 7" tablet, but the top and bottom bezels look to be bit too much. Pocketability can get to be a problem even for guys unless they're in slacks all the time, or cargo pants.

QUOTE(afzal_m @ Jun 25 2013, 07:04 PM) Did you draw out the outline of the phone too? joytest, tried putting that mock up phone in my jeans pocket in the office just now. It doesn't fit hahaha I think it would fit some of my loose fit jeans, and definitely in my office slacks. QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 25 2013, 07:06 PM) I didn't but I could imagine the size. I don't need to try putting into my pants, it is not going to fit. Yeah women's fashion is to accentuate curves....so it's not going to fit in your pockets

From the hands on report: http://www.androidcentral.com/sony-xperia-z-ultra-handsThe device is also waterproof and dust-resistant, and is rated IP55/IP58, an improvement upon the original Xperia Z's IP55/IP57 rating. As such, you'll still have to deal with the plastic flaps which protect various ports, though the 3.5mm headphone jack is exposed and fully waterproof this time around. In addition, an official magnetic charging dock will be available to make your daily charge a little easier. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Note series, the Ultra doesn't include is own stylus. However Sony is advertising the device as having drawing support for pencils, capacitive styluses and metal pens with a diameter of more than 1mm. It's not quite Wacom (the technology used by Samsung's Note) but it works well enough. =============== I got to play briefly with a display unit XZ the other day. I found that the flaps seem prone to becoming loose with repeated openings and closings, and if you observe the posts in XZ thread about water ingress problems despite having closed flaps, I believe this will suffer from the same problem. The S4 Active is probably a better waterproof device. This post has been edited by joytest: Jun 25 2013, 07:41 PM

QUOTE(hooh888 @ Jun 25 2013, 07:15 PM) well this is not buying me over unless air view and the other s-pen features are there. but no wacom so it's quite impossible. Sony tells you: MAKE.BELIEVE. FANTASISE
