So now that we do not need visa, is it like what we hwo we travel to korea / other country that does not require visa. eg: buy air ticket then board the plan when the time comes?

1 more thing, u need to make sure your passport is made from 2010 onwards. Passports made before that, will still need to apply visa.

Yeah......you are the first person here mention on Tateyama Alpine Route. thumbup.gif
Yeah......You also the first person here reach Osaka that didn't go Kyoto & Nara. thumbup.gif

Most the placed you visit are on Center part of Japan. If me I will set my Hotel and main point at Nagoya.
Since you reach Kanazawa. Want go Fukui also? Fukui got the best seafood of Japan Sea + Japan Best Pork Rice (Katsudon)

brows.gif brows.gif Look like you already found out my October tips brows.gif

Btw, the pass got blackout date. mean you can't used this pass at black out date period. JAL pass you need to take JAL to Japan only can valid the Yokoso pass. ANA one no need. you can take any flight to Japan. SO i prefer ANA more. Plus ANA blackout date much more less than JAL one.

Early of Oct no peak season....but mid & end of Oct will be peak season because the autumn season start in Hokkaido.

Walk in only get the room will be expensive yo.... brows.gif

Actually going Hokkaido no need book so many Hotel.

My Hokkaido trip always book 2 Hotel only, one at Hakodate and another one at Sapporo.

2 Date 1 night at Hakodate.

rest all at Sapporo.

From Sapporo 7am morning I can take ''Limited Express'' to Otaru then Night take same ''Limited Express'' back to Sapporo.

Next day also same 7am Morning I take another ''Limited Express'' Ashikawa night back to Sapporo.

list keep going on.....

laugh.gif '' Limited Express'' name you guys have to find out.....no spoon feed

If not wrong you are driving right?

Then more easy...just left Sapporo early then back at night. Just keep Sapporo as your main starting point.

You go Kanazawa? Very good, was there 2004. Historic place, go visit the Samurai quarter, also the big nice ancient garden.

Good advise. I did same thing. Just a night in Hakodate and use Sapporo as base to explore other parts of Hokkaido. Went to Otaru & Kushiro.

Yes, yes, in August 2004. Very hot and humid. Took train from Shin-osaka, went north, along Sea of Japan to Kanazawa. Return to Tokyo via Nagano. One stretch I took local train in paddy-fields, full of schoolkids. Very nice!

Old samurai houses in Kanazawa.

I took Thunderbird from Shinosaka to Kanazawa, and from Kanazawa to Nagano, various trains, can't remember. But I remember the Japan Sea route was very scenic.

blush.gif somehow i guessed we are mentioning the same promotion thumbup.gif
and luckily my traveling date does not fall in blackout periods thumbup.gif

btw I think u r mistake bout a MUST use JAL to Japan, it oni requirement is "OneWorld Carriers" to be exactly.
But I can't confirm, tat y i ask in my previous post... Unless there is something wrong with my England level...
I need someone with experience in this promotion to double confirm
Afterall, i didnt have a single clue bout the f*ck is OneWorld Yokoso or Yokoso Pass
CODE
RegentCid: JAL pass you need to take ***JAL to Japan*** only can valid the Yokoso pass

JAL: One requirement is that travel to and from Japan from overseas ***must be made on oneworld carriers***. Also, the fare is available overseas only and is not on sale in Japan.

there is another funny line
CODE
JAL: oneworld Yokoso/Visit Japan Fare is available from one sector

wtf is one sector?
sector mean passenger rite?
can i buy multiple trip??
getting headache trying to brain it... why the website is using such high-tech linguistic
---

other than the price, ANA or JAL... with one is the better one?? brows.gif

One sector means per flight

I usually take ANA one because the ANA office at Wisma Goldhill next to Istana Hotel

When I used this pass , MAS still not part of One world Family

BTW, You only going Hokkaido only...mean 2 coupons [[go and return]]....that will cost you 27300 including tax. Not really worth.......compare to Peach Airline from KIX to Chitose just 8500 Yen per way

This pass maximum are 5 times...Usually I using this pass only going Okinawa. KIX > Naha > Ishigaki > Miyajima > Naha > KIX 55000 Yen really worth

ok... sector is per flight... without u, i confirm wont understand hahaha icon_rolleyes.gif
thanx q
---

i think it is a lot time is wasted if im to travel daily to Sapporo - Ashikawa (130KM)
i havent include the Furano route yet and the train schedule waiting time

this round seem like car rental look attractive and it is more economically too

Hokkaido Rail Pass >> http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361_01.html
for 7 days is ¥22000 * 4 passenger is around ¥88000

Toyota Rent-A-Car >> http://www.toyotarentacar.net/english/
for 7 days is ¥42000

until then, i just need to figure out the price for toll, petrol, and daily parking to make the final decision
and mayb will choose the train option is no hotel room... or if the rate is too expensive for me

---
my flight arrive in KIX at 7:30AM 6th Oct
the current rate for Peach Airline 10:30AM flight is ¥10,490 (not include baggage)
hence, ANA and JAL promo flight seem attractive
