Booked KUL-KIX and HND-KUL, end of Nov 2014. (1 week)

Will need help from sifus here again. Should be no problem with Tokyo, but first time going to Osaka/Kyoto.

No proper itinerary yet as it is 1 year away  but just some rough question.
1. For Osaka-Kyoto-Nara, it is a good or bad idea to set Osaka as the base and travel daily?

2. Where to keep luggage at Nara?

3. From Osaka/Kyoto to Tokyo, it it worthwhile to buy JR pass for the Shinkansen or just fly with Peach?

1st Question:
I set my base at Kansai Airport.        My hotel room is the Gulf G-6. 
If Set HQ.....I perfer Osaka because nightlife

2nd Question:
Train Station.  Which train station much better?  you need do homework.
About 3rd Question:
have you try Shinkansen before?  If no then take Train.  If try alot alot times like me until Fxxx boring. then take Peach Airline.

1. Alright, so it's not a stupid idea to travel daily to kyoto afterall.
2. Well ok, so its the station locker. This one no problem. If i confirm set Osaka as base, then this consider solved dy.
3. Taken Shinkansen from Tokyo to Odarawa before lol..consider taken la...i will plan the route to see whether I can use the JR pass to the max or not first. Peach is around 5000 Yen, but time is not flexible and need to waste time at airport. Also, it lands at Narita. Correct me if I am wrong, we can sit at the unreserved seat at the Shinkansen using JR pass right? So the time flexibility is there.

I don't think your JR Pass cannot use on the shinkasen to Hakodate.. 

the 6hours+ train I mentioned is from Tokyo to Hakodate only.

of coz you need calculate in the 3hours+ time if you travel from Hakodate to Sapporo without stopping at Hakodate,

then the total travel time is 10hours+ 

you can consider stay a night in Hakodate if you going to Hakodate via train,

then only from Hokadate > Sapporo > Otaru and Asahikawa.

after finish visiting Hokkaido heading back to Tokyo, you can consider taking one way flight from Sapporo to Tokyo.
anyway,

since you have purchased the one way ticket from Tokyo to Sapporo,

my suggestion no longer important lah.
If Hakodate is one of your itinerary,

You have no other choice but spend 3hours+ train travel there from Sapporo,

and consider staying a night there if you are not rushing back on same day.

We did Tokyo-Sapporo by train with JR Pass.  No need to rush, good journey.

Make it easy

From Tokyo to Sapporo by using Shinkansen.

First you only can reach Shin-Aomori Station.   From Shin-Aomori Station to Hakodate by Limited express Train.  Then from Hakodate to Sapporo // Otaru by Limited Express Train .
If you guys going on Winter day such as Dec to March.   There is no way you can reach Sapporo from Tokyo by one day.   Due to snow and strong wind the train will delay.  Basically you will miss the last limited Express.

Maximum you can reach is Aomori.   If you damm lucky Maximum is Hakodate.   Stay one night at Aomori // Hakodate.  Tml morning take most early Limited Express which is 9am continue to Sapporo.
If you using JR Rail Pass then whole Journey are cover.  Now JR Rail Pass are Cover ''Hayabusha'' Shinkansen already.  Except ''Nozomi''  & ''Mizuho''

Since you have purchased the air ticket to Sapporo,

Might as well you itinerary is,

Sapporo > Otaru > Asahikawa > Hokadate.

Any final confirmation still based on what [aRegentCid] suggested as he is Guru here.

Should be Sapporo > Asahikawa > Otaru > Hakodate.

Because on the way to Hakodate will pass Otaru.  This way more appropriate.   No need go east then west then east again.

I paham,

I use Google Maps compare both distance/route end up almost same time consumed. 

but I personal will suggest zaff1984 to take LXT from Sapporo bound to Hakodate due to Sapporo is first station,

at least getting seats chances is much higher.
