if you ww, it's either IKBB or BKO. yes 5 pieces waste, 3 pieces IK + rorg is what most higher gr players use now.

haha, not enough time commit to season like those streamers.. already 300 400 plvl

it's very good, hit like a truck. waste set is like a moving tank, strong, steady but a bit slow pace for me. also remember not to choose dust devil as your ww rune if you use waste set, you can choose another one like blood funnel or wind shear for t6 or lower gr because you kill the mob so fast you can't regen enough fury to keep up the pace.

Skull grasp is not good because the additional ww damage it provides is of additive side. Besides, most of your damage comes from dust devil, not whirlwind.

Unity is ok in 5ww+3ik setup, but you will lose a lot of damage using unity in IK5+BKO setup because focus + restraint makes your damage 1.5*1.5 = 2.25 times higher. Without F&R IK5+BKO has very low damage output.

COE is nice if you have more than 1 element in your build. For example if you run lightning cota in your build, then COE will benefit you more due to more uptime on COE - lightning for cota and physical for dust devil. Barb has 4 element, so if you have a 200% coe, it means overall an 50% damage boost to all element. To compare to SOJ:

Stone of jordan :
2 primary rolls ( crit + socket would be optimal )
20% Elemental damage
30% Elite damage

Convention of Elements
4 primary rolls ( Crit chance, damage, socket, mainstat /AS )
50% element damage.

Good DPS SOJ = 20% elemental, 30% elite, CHD/CHC, OS

Good COE = Main stat, CHC (guarantee), CHD, OS

You lose 30% elite damage for 30% elemental damage with additional 2 primary affix.

And.. thats is for 1 element, if you use multiple element in your build, it's a clear winner.

Cota do their own thing, you ww all the time. You dont need to track this ring other then maybe rend.

I personally feel Blizz failed big time.

i am building one now, fun build with minimal effort. definitely the build for casuals like me.

try to get 2 piece LK first in the early progression. the permanent CoTA is a huge upgrade to this build early in the game.

the nados might lag other player in group play tho.

Still very hard to control the timing of the ring proc out the area of increased damage.

Failed in the synergy of the skill.
The fun of it.

If you played the old WW before, you found the synergy of skills (sprint-WW) and resource (i.e.fury generation) matched perfectly.

Now the WW build is like D2. Everything is "automatic". It lacks the fun.
Let me give you few example.
2-piece IK and you will not run short of resource (fury), generally.
You close your eyes and WW and yuo'll find you spawn tornadoes more than sweeping wind-cyclone monk and energy twister Wizard.
You don't sprint any more. You don't need to sprint any more. Use Bul-Khatos 's mighty weapon set.

The whole game play is not quite right. There is no synergy and it's like playing D1 and D2.

It shows how shallow the current development team is.
Lack of vision. Lack of synergy.
What the current team now is keep boosting damage output.
For example, ancient weapon. You will get 20% damage boost generally.
Keep buffing damage output. Now we see 1-2billions damage per hit.
Blizzard might as well slap 50,000% damage bonus on IK set right in the beginning. Get what I mean?

Now recall back what Blizz did.
Removed synchronisation of sprint & WW. And now they put back sprint-WW and tons of tornadoes but all generated by gears.
Seriously, that feeling sucks.

You don't rely on the ring alone, I think.
You still need CDR from gears & skill.

Mostly agree with your opinions. For what it worth, to me, days of hoping the dev to make sensible/community driven changes have long gone.

I just play what they throw at us, adapt and move forward. D4 might grant all, if not most of our hopes, fantasies fulfilled.
