At least next season's starting 5 games not as tough as what we had at the start of 2012-13. But December is gonna be tough.

I really feel next season is the real deal for us. I got a feeling that we will do more than just qualifying for CL. Let's hope I am right. biggrin.gif

I predict, Liverpool will finish in 3rd place, possibly winning a cup while Man City will sack the manager in January creating a turmoil, Spurs will drop back to reality just like Newcastle and Arse also in trouble. tongue.gif

If we can get Suarez to stay, then what a season is gonna be for us. biggrin.gif

And, Maureen will win the Premier League with Chelsea. Afterall, he's Maureen biggrin.gif

Seems like you also can predict the future... whistling.gif

I think Spurs will be thereabouts again next season if Bale isn't sold. Still a long way to go before season starts anyway..lots of coming-ins and going-outs until the end of August. It's a good sign that BR is doing his transfer business early though. At least let the team gel as much as possible with the new players during pre-season.

Mmm bit over the top to claim that Arsenal are a sinking ship. Despite a slow start to the season, they ended up in fourth, only 5 points behind 2nd placed City. Veteran manager, healthy financially, strong squad with promising young players coming through the ranks. Don't see any indication of them falling off the pace if I'm to be honest.
*
Agreed. They've had slow starts the past 2 seasons and yet they made it into the top 4. Squad is not as strong as it used to be but yeah they've got some young and promising players. Plus, with old Arsene still there don't see them getting into trouble in the first half of the season again especially if they don't lose their best players. The only team that I feel like they might fall off the pace is Everton. With a new manager and the possibility of losing Fellaini and Baines to bigger clubs, things might not look too good for them. But you never know, Martinez might come up with his own shrewd signings.

Damn...some of his through passes in the highlights were exquisite. What I really like about him is that he's very calm in possession. Could see that during the times he featured for LFC. But I think needs to understand the English game pace more. Defensive midfielders and defenders close opponents down pretty rapidly and he's quite a slender lad..can get out-muscled easily and lose possession cheaply. Still only 19, definitely one for the future in LFC. Hope he gets more minutes to prove his worth next season.

Somebody needs to chill out..like seriously..We all want Suso to be brilliant. He's on his way there. Not a perfect product yet. In fact, I believe he's still quite some way from being perfect. If he was he'd be starting every game already.

Nobody said Suso was overrated. Some of us are just saying he's not star material YET but could be. Whether he gets more minutes compared to last season is BR's prerogative. We all don't get to watch him in training. Only the manager and coaches know how to judge what goes on behind the scenes.

worried about his loss of form (compared to before injury).

next up - lukaku and benteke. mana satu?

Hard choice mate. tongue.gif Both are strong, good in the air and decently quick for their size. Not sure who's the better one with the ball at his feet. But anyways, don't think the club will go after either of them though.

Good. Then we can concentrate on this

Sturridge - Suarez - Aspas
---Mkhitaryan-Coutinho---
------------Gerrard---------
And that is bang bang bang! Goals Goals Goals biggrin.gif

That type of lineup will only work against teams like Palace tongue.gif Other teams will slice through our non-existent defending in midfield like like a hot knife going through butter and probably end up with a 3-3 or 4-4 scoreline. biggrin.gif

That's a boss caption!

Wasn't Shelvey our top scorer in Europe last season? He was at some point anyway.

At 21 he is a decent talent and I'm sad to see him go but with more new signings rumoured to be coming our way, first team chances will be limited. With Shelvey gone and Stevie G getting more fragile in his old age, we have virtually no steel in midfield. His fiery determination reminds me of a young Stevie though he comes up short in the talent department in comparison.
*
Agreed on that part. The only player that has a little steel in midfield right now other than Stevie G is Henderson. We need an enforcer in the middle of the park.

Benteke handed in a transfer request apparently. Anybody fancy him?

Hoping more for LFC to sign another central defender soon though.

LFC should just keep playing hardball with Suarez. Never settle for anything less than 40-45M. And if he still does not hand in a transfer request, then the club should just tell him to STFU and stay.
