beware for new haswell machines: the voltage of the ram is now 1.35v. ram that need 1.5v (common ones that can be found in the local market) are very likely to cause troubles later (over heating, damage to the cpu integrated memory controller (due to the increased potential difference), and increased battery use).

hmm how long have you had G55?  i just want to predict when i have to do my Re-paste on my G75... is 3+month old  idle temp still34C-39C / 45-55C gaming, so i ask asus call center they say " 9 month or 20C add to my thermal temp" they also say if i keep clean/clear fan dust use air spray (G75 have access to their fan) every 3 month  i will keep thermal temp at it is... lol sound sweet right.. then i ask asus why Asus G750 dont kept their body design? "they say ah.. no comment sorry sir.."

i put this at home la. i have plenty of space at home i don't play games when i work. for work purposes, even the 660m has more than enough juice already.

if i have a gaming rig with liquid coolant.. why would i go for a gaming notebook? go for slim2 sexy2 laptop~ easier to carry around lol

but if i have a gaming notebook, and needs more juice. i'd definitely head towards egpu if my laptop allows me too.

i think what they are aiming for is laptop user.. coz as we can see now most people are going for mobile gaming and having both gpu inside the laptop without proper cooling just kills the laptop faster.

oh.. imo for the sake of discussions let's us do not limit ourselves to the keywords, 'mobile computing' only. if i really needed to stick to those topics to the letters, i really have nothing to discuss already (as of now, high mobility means low performance, relatively; there is not much to discuss lol!). i might as well go else where

i just think that it's a nice idea that an external gpu can be used to replace our aging gpu. with this accessory, we don't need to worry about whether the gpu on our laptop is of custom form factor or soldered, and we can just get one and use it for all sorts of low-powered laptops.

if i have a desktop rig, eGPU is pointless pci-e is much better lol!
