"If you’re looking for a new budget tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is coming to Malaysia very soon. Pre-orders are available via retailer Mobile2Go with stocks expected to arrive on 26th June 2021.

According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite WiFi is officially priced at RM699 and it comes in either Silver or Grey. Like the “Lite” name suggests, this is the affordable alternative to the 10.4″ Galaxy Tab A7 that was launched last year for RM999.

The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite comes with an 8.7″ TFT display that pushes 1340×800 pixels resolution and it runs on an entry-level MediaTek Helio P22T processor. The device is offered with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card."

Quoted from the report. Buy this, and don't forget to buy Samsung fast charger, if it is indeed not included in the package.

I check , 8.7″ TFT display with 1340×800 resolution , which is a down side compare to Galaxy tab 2019 s-pen IPS 1920x1200

There is no smartview which allow mirroring to a smartTV and it's a must feature when I need to mirror to a smartTV for zoom or browse some photo.

Features important to me is just 3 features.
1. Smartview (I though mirroring are the most basic for most tablet and phone) , even some old 2015 budget huawei/xiaomi phone also have this features.I wonder they cut cost until this poor condition.
2. IPS and higher resolution is possible
3. Battery life

Price range between old and new below rm900 if possible. If Tab A7 Lite WiFi is RM699 , I wonder LTE will cost rm800 above.
Compare to old 2019 version.
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPho...&idPhone3=10483 Downside maybe battery just 4200 mah.

Please let me know if you found this old tablet.Hard to find back those old tablet. sad.gif

The options for affordable tablets are lacking

https://cybersafett.com/best-device-for-online-learning/

It seems the advantage of a tablet is not that much if compared to smartphone. Given that current smartphone features for the price is really at a good point, I think you should consider a big smartphone.

For the budget of RM800, you can consider getting a brand new 6.5" smartphone AND a used chromebook from Lazada.

Tab A7 Lite WiFi TS-220 is RM699 but there is no LTE version at Malaysia.
Check at Sg price https://www.lazada.sg/catalog/?q=samsung+a7...&location=local around RM899
Hope samsung will bring in LTE version

Someone asked at samsung offcial website on smartview/mirroring or cast but never mention whether it's on wifi or LTE.
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tablets...ew/td-p/3643292

Anyone here bought Tab A7 Lite WiFi ? can confirm having smartview or mirror cast option ?

Anyone looking at the new xiaomi pad 5? Seems very top spec and good. Planning to get 1 but worried about the firmware for now and wildvine certification.

Yeah but shopee selling 1.8k which i think is overpriced now. Probably wait end of the year see got better price or not. The spec really fit my usage, for watching videos with hdr dolby vision. The screen is decent enuf also. I no use tablet for gaming anyway.

Display spec same ipad pro edi. See if apple when release ipad air with oled.

1. Brand.
- I don't mind any brand, just I hope I can find it easily in store or shoppe (with preferred seller)
2. Budget.
- Below RM1500
3. Specs.
- I don't have any specific specs but as long as it serve my purpose, that will be fine. But definitely I hate lagging if I do multi-purpose work.
- light and easily portable
4. What you need in the tablet - multi-purpose work in:
- Casual browsing
- eBook reading
- Note taking
- watching movies
- listening songs
- light games

Any tablet expert please help a newbie out.

1. Brand. Preferably mainstream brand for reliability.
2. Budget. RM700-1000. Looking for a budget one, but don't mind topup.
3. Specs. (Ram/Proc/Camera's MP/Screen size). Prefer bigger screen like 10 inch. Decent ram and unsure about camera MP.
4. What you need in the tablet. For reading, video learning, casual browsing, and maybe light gaming (stardew valley for my mother)

I'm curious... is there any good small tablets with the following spec?
1. Brand - any will do, but preferably Mainstream
2. Budget - <RM2000
3. Specs - >8 GB Ram/ any Proc/ any Camera spec/ <9 inch Screen size
4. Use - Casual browsing/Note taking/telephone function

the last usage in particular... seems like quite hard to find...

non mainstream then yes.

i did try to use an 8 inch plus tablet as a daily phone with telephone function for a short duration.

but what that was dismay to me truly was the camera as TnG QR reading was a challenge. another one was that you always need headphones or earbuds available when people may just called in.
