Teclast P70 Octa Core 3G 8GB gooding? Lazada selling RM329, with voucher is <RM300. I've never even heard of this brand until I keep seeing it being recommended in this thread.

Usage: watch Korean drama using Viu, Internet using Chrome, casual gaming, etc.

the Teclast most famous is for its X98 series, Teclast X98 series is worth recommending because of the specs vs price, especailly for a tablet that below 1K. i would recommend get the Teclast X80 which is a little tad more than the P70 because since you include casual gaming but it doesn't come with a 3G connectivity unless that is your requirement as well.

http://www.teclast.com.my/ecomm/index.php?...t&product_id=98

the Intel Z8300 and 2GB ram would give a little more smoother operation and you get the benefit of dual boot.

The X80 looks good, dual-boot some more! 3G is not my requirement.

Thanks for the reply smile.gif

here is a review site about it:
http://techtablets.com/2016/03/teclast-x80...d-review-video/

but please bear in mind, its only 32gb and that is shared by two OS. so space i think its pretty limited and you probably need a good size SDcard to complement it.

but good thing is, i just realise that it comes with a micro HDMI & micro USB port. so can watch video on bigger TV biggrin.gif

That's an added bonus! Just use HDMI cable and TV-out, right?

Do you have experience with Teclast service center? What's it like?

i think what you need is just a [ micro HDMI converter to HDMI ---> HDMI cable ] if i am not wrong. sorry bro, i don't own a Teclast device though was tempted to get the X98 last time.

but do give a review once you got it yah? i think many forumers would probably like to know about the X80 Plus because of its price point.

Take note that x80 have a few variation
X80HD, X80H, X80+.

I bought a X80H and use it for 2 months alrdy. More for watching movie using app and web browsing. And it is value for money.
- Quite responsive and fast
- ~3hrs battery life for continuous movie.
- screen is just nice although colour look a bit dull
- dual speaker also just nice

But take note that x80+ supposed to be a newer replacement with a better processor and newer OS.. But they conveniently also increase price by RM50, reduced speaker from 2 to 1 and reduced battery size from 5000 to 3500.

Personally, I would prefer older x80h.

Hi, I am a uni student. i am looking for a tablet for my daily use. Mainly surfing, reading ebooks, playing games, watching videos...

Budget : around 1k
Preferably 2gb or more ram, 32gb or more rom, 4:3 ratio. Having good display as I will be watching videos on the tablet.wifi only is enough.

Saw Taclast X98 Plus with rm999 currently. Is it worth to buy? As I dun have much information about this brand...

Thinking of Ipad air2 64gb, Teclast X98 plus, samsung galaxy A 8.0 and galaxy s2 8.0

the options that you stated, some of them are of very difference price range especially Ipad Air 2 64GB and Galaxy S2 8.0

of course if you have the budget the Ipad Air 2 and S2 8.0 is among the great choice but otherwise below 1K budget, the Teclast X98 is a worth buy. you can actually get it cheaper from lazada. but i wouldn't recommend Galaxy Tab A 8.0 mainly because of sub par display and weak processor. :
- Resolution 768 x 1024 pixels and non IPS display.
- Snapdragon 410.

considering that you use mainly for media consumption, a high resolution screen like Full HD or higher and IPS screen would be good for you. look up some youtube reviews, they help a lot in helping make the choice.

Actually I do not mind to top up someone if iPad Air 2 64GB or Samsung S2 8.0 is really worth to buy.

I was intended to buy iPad Air2 64gb but my friend discouraged me to buy as iOS has many restriction.

May I know what is the price of S2 8.0 now? Does it have a S pen? What about the memory? I do not need cellular as I already have an android phone.

For Teclast X98 plus, windows os is not necessary for me since I already have a laptop. But it will be a bonus for me to have that to easier my work and presentation.

In ur opinion, among Samsung S2 8.0, iPad Air2 64gb and Teclast X98 Plus, which is the most worth to buy? Or else do you have other recommendation? I have allodoxaphobia ><

hahaha... bro if you have that phobia, you sure you should be asking for my opinion? tongue.gif biggrin.gif
since you ask i shall try my best to answer.

your friend is not wrong, at least what i know about the movie part, is that iPad requires to convert in order to play? you have to ask iPad owners about this. where android you can just download and play. both OS have their own strength. i heard ioS have more games too.

currently the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is retailing around rm1,600. it does not have sPen. 3GB Ram.
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_s2_8_0-7439.php

depending on budget brother,
if i have less than 1K, i go for teclast X98 Plus as the 9.7 inch screen with 9.7 inches (1536 x 2048) for movies, tv series, anime, etc. the CPU Intel Atom X5-Z8300, 64 GB, 4 GB RAM will for sure capable smooth running.
if i can fork out more, the galaxy Tab S2 8.0 or S2 9.7 are very good choices. and i really love how the Tab S2 looks, both variant of 8.0 and 9.7 inch screen are beautiful.

here are some CPU score:
Rank 493 : Snapdragon 652 (Galaxy Tab S2) - around rm1,600
Rank 563 : Exynos 5433 Octa (Galaxy Tab S2) - around rm1,900
Rank 570 : Intel X5-Z8300 (Teclast X98 Plus) - around rm1,000

Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is way too expensive ><
I am intended to buy Teclast X98 Plus but I am worried about some aspects. The price is affordable and it offers good spec too. I am afraid that it will be laggy after using for a time. I am afraid that it will not support some apps too. It's accessories are hard to find too.

Galaxy S2 8.0 attracts me in the aspect of camera, display, brand and functions but the price is abit too high compared to Teclast X98 plus since both of them are offering android os. S2's accessories are expensive too.
iPad Air 2 attracts me in the aspect of smoothness, brand and design. I used to use iPad for surfing and entertainment since my dad have a iPad 4. But I an not sure whether it suits me to use for my studies or not. I am not sure whether it is worth to double my money to buy iPad Air 2 64gb rather than Teclast X98 plus too ><

It is like it will be difficult to move the ebooks and files to the iPad. And buying an iPad will cost a lot too😂

All you need is get use to download (and update too) the iTunes on your Mac / Windows. Plug in and move the ebooks to the iBook apps. Of course, unlike Android that allow plug and play like OTG Pendrive, iOS have OTG Pendrive too but it costs a bomb.

Buying an iPad may costs a lot, but it have good resell value if you intend to upgrade in the future. Also, maybe can consider go for iPad mini 4 64GB WiFi or iPad mini 2 if you are light usage.

I saw iPad Air 1 16gb is selling at RM1159 on Lazada now. May I know the difference between iPad Air 1 and Air2 ? Is it worth to buy as I feel that the memory is a bit too small.

Besides, I saw iPad Air 2 16gb wifi is selling at rm1499 too on lazada.

I saw Huawei Mediapad M2 3gb/32gb selling at rm1285 too? May I have more information about this unit?

What is your main usage by the way?

16GB are too less storage unless you run on tight budget. iPad Air 2 with 64GB are better option.

Mediapad M2 are very good too if just for media consumption.

Then 16GB should be sufficient.
