Other than the Asus fonepad and memo pad smart 10, the rest don't have actual GPS.

After reading around, your best bet for a cheap 10.1" is the Ramos W30..

For local Chinese tablets, not many has gps built it. And even if got, it'll be above rm450

Ainol has the best best build quality among Chinese tablets. Spec wise, the actions atm7029 isn't much of a performer. For casual usage and minimal gaming, it'll do fine. I still got my ainol aurora, passed to my sister to use. Bought it back in early 2012..

From what I can tell, the crystal and venus 's main difference is the display , more storage, dual camera on the Venus, and a better housing on the Venus. The rest are the same

Here's something I read from Antutu's site..

QUOTE
Some manufacturers promote they products for profits by using fake benchmarks. In fact, some users are unable to run official version of AnTuTu Benchmark on their devices for manufacturers have modified their products, thus the cheating behavior will not be discovered. These manufacturers passed the buck to AnTuTu, claimed that it is because of the incompatibility of AnTuTu Benchmark. AnTuTu make a solemn statement here that there is no compatibility problems on AnTuTu Benchmark. If AnTuTu Benchmark can not run on your device, or there is no readable words on the interface of AnTuTu Benchmark, and your device is made by Chinese manufacturer, then you should know this is cheating.
Who wants to guess what's the offending chip's name? brows.gif

Until Ainol decides to ditch the Actions ATM7029 chip, buyers better stick to other SOCs in the mean time.. The ATM7029 is supposedly a quad core chip, but performance wise, its worse than an equivalent dual core. Not just that, due to the Vivante GC1000 GPU, app compatibility as well as game compatibility will be an issue.

That also, I haven't gone into the fact that Ainol/Actions advertise the chip as a Cortex A9, but in fact its actually based on a much older Cortex A5 design.

Just boycott the ATM7029.

I thought ATM was Atmel, who've been in the industry a long time. Is Actions a Chinese manufacturer?

Yup, and apparently they have been in the market since 2001, initially starting with making processors for MP3 players..

Will order that SunnyCube V7 tablet this week. Wanna benchmark and test it against other cheaper tablets. Especially the ASUS Memo Pad ME172V and the Acer Iconia B1.. brows.gif

At least the All winner ain't as bad as the Actions, but it still loses to the Rock chip RK3188 in terms of raw CPU power.

Hope you guys hear about the bad warranty service issue of Asus. Take care...
BTW, I would like to recommend Sony Xperia Tablet Z. The best tablet I have seen so far, in terms of hardware and cost.

But Asus quality is really top notch. I has a Asus notebook back home, i think ~3 years old, no issues.
