i always swipe my bcard at starbucks ma. as a matter of fact, i signed up my bcard at starbucks in the early days when starbucks joined as bcard merchant.

But when I pumped at Caltex, the pump station machine never prompted me to insert BCard.... so how I get BCard points? Have to walk to counter and claim? I swipe credit card at pump as payment method....

nowadays many places can use bcard. since it's free to sign up, just get one and start collecting your points.

yes, just show your receipt to the cashier and they will key in the points into your bcard based on how many litres you pumped.

i missed 3 times totalled 610 points lossed! not that i forgot, but the system lag/hang after payment (not caused by slow internet)! so the final page not loaded and there's no way to get the points anymore. i complained to lazada many times to allow bcard to be key in during checkout instead of after payment, but after 1 year liao still same. my recent purchase of rm350 also missed the bcard points due to this.

Anyway, this comparison only correct if 1 point for Petron is same value as 1 point for Petronas (I don't know, no Petronas station convenient for me so I never considered it). For example Bonuslink even worse at shell, 1 point for 1 liter (RM2.30) and the point also worth so much less.

lol, not my fault. that's how petron name makes petronass sounds like an ass. lol...

petronass (mesra) and shell (bonuslink) same 1litre 1point. but mesra point redemption for petrol = 1point for 1sen, which means a rebate of 0.43% only, so far the lowest.

For petrol loyalty program, so far Petron still offer the best rewards.
3000 points can redeem back RM45 of fuel. RM 1 = 1 point.

Others like shell or petronas not so rewarding.

Wow, I didn't encounter such incident before. Did they reply to you? Why not they just do it like Groupon where all your purchases will be automatically linked to Bcard?

Who can we turn to when these unfortunate things happened? I mean we have BNM when it comes to CC fraud or other problems. Perhaps FOMCA or NCCC?

sadly nobody because this is just an individual merchant issue. but i also didn't complain too harsh on them because previously i bought a laptop for my family, the purchase went through but later informed by lazada that no more stock, so the amount paid was returned back to me but the bcard points did not taken back from me. that bcard points was more than 4x the points i loss (610).
