here's the place you gota go:

1. Barong Dance - 100,000IDR (per pax) best barong dance is with the 2 midget. everytime i go to bali, i will go n see.
2. Tanah Lot - i cant recall, you gota pay tol and per pax entry. best time to go during sunset. temple by the sea
3. Pandawa Beach - new beach, superbly beautiful (its around nusa dua)
4. Kintamani - volcano, you just gota pay the tol only. ur driver will tell u to go makan buffet there. i normally skip buffet eating. just to snap picture. when ure here, please becareful. dont entertain anyone selling stuff or pretending to do henna for free. u will be charge expensively.
5. luwak coffee - its before the drive up to the kintamani. 1 way, no charges for free testing of variety of coffee/tea. u will tend to buy something there.
6. bedugul - nice scenery of the frog pura (temple) sightseeing ok lor.
7. uluwatu - kecak dance. you gota pay 150,000 IDR per pax. cant recall. but nice experience, u gota rush for the tickets and seatings. hehehe only open for tix at 5pm.
8. ubud monkey forest - nice place. 20,000IDR per pax (i think). make sure u go walk all pathway, ull find a hidden pathway where u can see nice flowing sungai. wink.gif
dont go for the dirty duck unless if u wana have the experience. as for me, the food is just so so and expensive. 2 head makan also cost nearly 200,000IDR.

ill list down if i can remember somemore smile.gif

Nusa dua - watersports (skip this. wasting money. hahaha)

info:
1. dont buy at the stall for gifts and etc. u can get it all at KRISHNA. super cheap and reasonable (its along SUNSET ROAD)
2. if ure an adventurous type. go makan at the tepi jalan stall, ull be surprise of how good food it is.
(3 lele, 1 bebek, 1 chicken, 2 rice, 1 big tempe, 1 eggplant = 45,000 IDR) u say? hahaha.
3. do try their AIR JERUK. its air limau. but they use the CNY small oranges. damn nice.

how long was your trip smile.gif

Sorry for the late reply.

Here is my itinerary:

14/3/2014- Arrive at Ngurah Rai around 2pm but due to long lines at immigration it took us 1 hour just to get our passports stamped.
- Our driver Pak Yon already there waiting for us at the arrival gate and snd us to Saimai Residence
- After that we walk around Kuta beach and Hard Rock since it is near Saimai

15/3/2014- Our driver ask us where to go, usually he said the trip around Bali will go according to either South, North, East or West since Bali is big
- we decided to go north to Kintamani
- On the way we stop to see Barong Dance, Tegalallang for the terrace rice paddy field
- we reach at the buffet restaurant around noon. Since we're on a budget trip, we just drank there while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Mt Batur.
- after that we went to taste coffee luwak and Tampak Siring temple
- stop at Krishna for some cheap souvenir

16/3/2014- one whole day we will be at South of Bali for the beaches
- first stop, Nusa Dua for para-sailing
- Pendawan Beach for swimming (not many people here since it is new)
- Uluwatu temple
- Padang-padang beach (crowded with tourist)
- Last stop dinner at Jimbaran (unfortunately no sunset for us since it's cloudy)
- Check in at Grand Rama Istana (much closer to Kuta Beach and Beachwalk mall)

17/3/2014- morning free and easy at the hotel since it has swimming pool
- took supir for half day to go to Tanah Lot to see sunset ( cry.gif still cloudy and can't see it)
- Krishna again for last time shopping
- check in at Best Western Kuta Villa

18/3/2014- roaming around Discovery mall in Kuta
- Back to Malaysia

there are pros and cons hiring driver.

Pro
-never get lost (even-though u have gps, driving in Bali is not easy)
-can enter some temple with much cheaper entry fee
-he can suggest you where you wanted to go based on your itinerary
-he can be ur photographer to take group photo tongue.gif
-he can warn u the do's and dont's
-can talk about Bali and its culture while in car
-never worries about parking fees (all inclusive, just pay the supir) or place to park

Cons
-sometimes they insist u to follow their itinerary
-they will bring u to places where they can get commission especially at Nusa Dua watersport and dinner at Jimbaran

This is my opinion on hiring a driver. Others might beg to differ

Hey guys,

need some advise from bali experts.

1. what we can do in Kuta Square & Jln Legian? (not a club lover)
2. Any recommendation on restaurant in Jimbaran? I heard Lie cafe is not bad
3. I will be visiting Danau Batur. Is there any restaurant that can have a fantastic view and nice food? I search online and everyone seems like having a bad review on foods there.

Thank you smile.gif

9 nights in bali.

I plan to stay in 2 different locations for this trip in September. any recommendation as to which locations are ideal to set up base?

interested in:
1)shopping for arts and craft
2)snorkelling
3)culture and temples

Ubud is obviously one of my choices...

Bro...how to contact this Mr Arief? you found him there or pre-arrange before you go? Looks like a very comprehensive itinerary you got there...especially on Day 2 where you visited many places. Did he design the itinerary or you decide yourself? The 500k per day is for per person or for entire group?

Car model brand NEW Nissan or Suzuki less then a year, they call Mini MPV I call it Mini Alphard...hehe...Very comfortable car compare with Avanza to go around. Ya...March is super low season and only can see most of them is Asian tourist. Ya...seriously remember guys 31March is Silent day on Bali~~All shop will close and no activities outside ya~

Depend on the car price bro, i feel ok for it because only (500k per day& per car convert to Rm is only rm12 per hour) im actually happy, many things is cover by Arief like parking fees..and sometime you have to buy ticket per persons....he just paid underground money so I can save some..not much...give and take lah bro...

Im not saying Arief price is the best, but i do feel comfortable and reliable with him.
