Thank you for the advise. Seems there were some pack iteneries before but would not like to travel in haste.
Would it be boring if I stay 3 to 4 hours in a single place like Uluwatu, Tanah Lot, Kintamani, Bedugul?
Thanks again.
*
Places like Uluwatu and Tanah Lot maybe will be boring. But it can consume time as well if you are into photography.

For me kintamani is just relax and chilling. Suddenly you can to have chilling weather, i would just like to sit there and a nice glass of coffee and enjoy the view.
Same goes to bedugul. I think max la 2hours biggrin.gif

Talking about how long would be enough at one spot, I would like to offer my opinion based on my recent visit. Not trying to be a wet blanket as experiences are subjective anyway.

To me, the beaches and sceneries are only equal if not inferior to what we have here in Malaysia. Food is definitely no match for ours. In fact much of the attractions, hotels, eateries and shops are investment ideas from foreigners, including Malaysians. The only unusual and pleasant experience I had was having dinner at Jimbaran Bay, seated on the beach looking at the waves lapping the shore. Even that is not unique as the experience is available at the Emerald Bay at Pangkor Laut Resort - but of course it will cost an arm and a leg!

The roads are narrow and there's quite a bit of traffic, and a lot of time is spent getting to places. When we finally get to a famous spot (Kintamani, Ubud market, Uluwatu, Dreamland etc..) 30 minutes seem rather long except when we had a meal there.

What I found distasteful was that even the airport trollies are 'guarded' by porters and there are so few seats inside the check-in area of the airport.

Having said all the above, I do believe if you are below 40, healthy and energetic and visiting Bali with a group of friends, you would probably bring home a lot of nice memories.

I am thankful that the immigration officers are relatively professional and did not ask for 'blanjar' like I experienced in Medan.

Is the nightlife in Bali any good?

U like to party hard? Then go to sky garden. Entrance fee is 75K IDR. It has many section inside. R&B, live show etc2. I prefer the rooftop. Its an open air section with lots of cool cats around. Hehe. The fee comes with free drinks

I have the same thoughts as yours too but we had so much fun because we went there as uni friends gathering so we din bother much. But what I dun like is the overpriced food and entrance fees that not worthy for places like Goa gajah. What we liked most so far about bali is lovina dolphins and Balinese spa. No wonder so few Asians there compared western foreigners.

Still struggling with itinerary and driver.

Now, we (2 pax) are going to have a relaxing trip rather than one-cover-all-attractions one.

2N in Ubud, 2N in Kuta.

Day 1: Touchdown & Ubud
Check-in
Explore Ubud
Relax in hotel

Day 2: Ubud
Kintamani
Buffet lunch at Sari Restaurant overlooking Mt. Batur. (around 194,000 IDR in total ?)
Tengalalang Paddy Rice Field and Tampaksiring Temple
Ubud Market, Royal Palace, Sukawati Art Market
Dinner @ Naughty Nuri’s Warung (Pork Ribs!)

Day 3: Kuta
Check in Kuta's hotel
Uluwatu
Dinner at Jimbaran sea-side (Lia's Café/Menega Café/Sharkeys) OR Warong Made

Day 4: Kuta
Visit Taman Ayun Temple
Visit ALAS KEDATON ( Monkey Forest )
Enjoy sunset at Tanah Lot

Day 5: Kuta and Depart
Walk around kuta town , discovery mall

I know that the itinerary is quite simple, appreciate inputs.

I have approached some drivers around and they are asking 550k per day. I find it too expensive especially when we are only traveling in 2 pax. Any commend on this? Or any better recommendations?

What time u reaching in Day 1?

Day 2,
Seems ok but during evening time, i doubt you can go Ubud Market, Palace then Sukawati.
You need to check the operating hours of Sukawati market. Or else you can consider go Explore market and palace on day 1 if you reach during day time.

Day 3
Suggest to do Monkey forest since you still in ubud before check in kuta hotel
can consider Tanah Lot coz its on the way back to Kuta from Ubud.

Day 4
Uluwatu and jimbaran.

I'll be going to Bali in Wk1 Oct.
I planned to rent a car. I have read that International Driving Permit is required. Anyone here got pulled over by Bali police before?

Don't ever ever ever go to Kuta Central Park Hotel, the worst hotel ever that i had visited.

My friend just turn on the shower tap, then the tap fallen onto the floor, he is too honest to report to the management and ended have to pay 337,500 rupiah for the defect items (ask for 65 USD at first). Entire incident happen in 30 minutes. If we don't pay, they will report to police and blocked us from leaving the country.

What an experience ..........
sad.gif

Have anyone experience hotel defect item before? Should it hotel bear the expenses if it is broken before the customer start using it?
