Hi guys, i am currently in bali and have been here for 3 days. For those who are worried about the valcano eruption, you can leave those fears behind. There are no disturbance or interuptions in kuta and denpasar area.

The ashes are no where to be seen around the tourist area.

When I was there, it was really hot and sunny. It was only raining on my last day there. My son and I were drenched wet

what's the update on the mt agung when you were there?

We don't have any updates at all. Everybody says there is no concern. The distance between mount agung and the tourism area is around 80KMs away.

We can't even have a glimpse of the ashes or the mount from kuta/denpasar are.

I will be hoing with my wife and 2 small kids. Do u guys think better hire a supir or rent a car? Hows the rate? Im on 4d3n.

Hire driver and relax for the trip lah. Driving on your own is really tiring. Can go agodaa to haave a look. First you have to decide whether you prefer hotel or those private villas.

if you want anything nearby kuta/seminyak is the best place. since you're going with wife and kids, best take a villa.

and it is best to hire a supir to bring you around.

definitely a supir..the road is small and very jam lo, it's gonna be very stressful if u drive..unless u travel with ur wife, and rent a bike then thats diff story.

the driver rate is around 400k rupiah (RM138)/day IFFFF im not wrong..but maybe u only need him for one day for long distance trips..if within city, u can grab and uber around..

whats ur preference on hotel? More modern looking/ resort type or villa? Location preference? Relaxing or happening or convenience?

Just came back from Canggu. It was really warm though.

Everywhere in Bali is really normal.

if you're adventurous like me, rent a car, total control of your own time, and go wherever you like
wanna relax kau-kau? hire a supir, give him a list of places u wanna visit, let him arrange for you

for your budget, lots of villa with private pool in Ubud is within your budget, you can get a 2 rooms villa if your kids are old enough to sleep by their own

I just got back from bali. Our personal driver was amazing! He showed us all the awesome spots and steered us away from tourist traps. We felt completely safe with him. And the price was super cheap. I strongly recommend using his services.

The Mulia for me is the best value resort in Bali, they have all 3 resorts combined into 1 area (Mulia Resort, The Mulia, Mulia Villas). You can stay at the Mulia Resort as its the cheapest of all 3. With your budget, its considered lower class than Mulia then you can't get par as that place but you can try Inaya Putri Bali, its in Nusa Dua as well. But my suggestion is try Mulia, and you won't regret hahaha.


Wrong thread, but yea I'm Indonesian and went to Ijen before. Guide to Ijen only is around 100-300k Rupiah together with the mask for Blue Fire.
