Carbo tends to burn faster end may lead to sudden surge of glucose level in the blood, causing rapid insulin response. You feel better after taking high carbo food but after a while, your energy level also drop fast. One of the reason for the diabetic patients to take note. Every food also has the glycaemic index. The higher, the worse. Wherelse, high protein food releases the energy slowly and efficiently, giving constant energy to your body. Any wrong facts ?  unsure.gif

I don't think protein is energy. Carbo is, protein is muscle food (Is it brain food too? I think it is)

Protein is energy. They convert into glucose when your body doesnt have enuf carb.

Really?
Cuz what I read was, carbohydrates that aren't burnt are converted into glucose.
Didn't know protein had the ability to do that as well.

Soy Protein and Whey Protein Powder helps to build and maintain lean muscle mass. Protein helps to convert those fats inside our body becomes muscle. That is why when body building, your weight stays the same, but ur body size become muscular. So, better to take more protein for ur body building.

I think this needs to be rechecked. I'm rather sure, fats can not convert into muscle. Body burns fat, builds muscle with the help of protein. We tear our muscles, protein rebuilds them. Protein never helps body convert fats.

Btw, when I started weightlifting, my weight went from 58KG's to 63KG's
I'm rather sure my body increases in weight.

Easy, I drink milk, drink water, maybe I eat some fruits and salad. Because salad tastes so disgusting, I end up not feeling hungry anymore.

It's not usually, starving, it's more of .....a hunger pang.

1 gramper pound of your body weight.
If you're 150 pounds, then 150 gramms of protein. But some people take 2 grams per pound.
