You should know what works for you and what doesnt.
Gaining mass or losing fat is never about a high protein or a low carb diet whatsoever. Going low on carbs will swing your insulin level and make you feel weak whilst simply going high on protein will lead you nowhere if not coupled with the proper exercise regiment (there still must be carbs in your diet!). It will be converted nonetheless into fat if it is not broken down. You feel hungry, down and put on 'invisible' poundage in the end.
So in the end its all about balance and a healthy lifestyle.
