please, the 2 ringgit discount is worth it for my daily americano needs, or not  yawn.gif

p.s. it retains heat/cold very well, better than my other flasks, but tbh the real reason you'll be paying for it is the 2 ringgit discount

I dont know what "other" flask you use.

If you think starbucks are good, get the brand zojirushi.

You must have alot of money if you can spend to drink starbucks everyday. I would rather make my my own coffee in the morning and put it in my thermos to bring to work. Luckily my temp office has a pretty decent coffee machine, just that i have to add in the coffee beans myself.

thanks for the recommendation, where can I get my hands on it tho?

I don't have a lot of money, what I have is caffeine addiction lol, I do make a nice pot of coffee via my french press every morning prior to work but it's just enough for myself to drink on the spot as I have a lot of coffee lovers living under the same roof and they're too lazy to make it themselves (heck they're paying for the beans so why not). I'm getting a new job on August tho, hopefully they have good coffee making facilities blush.gif

Besides with the Starbucks flask, you're paying about 2 Ringgit per shot of espresso via Americano which imo isn't too bad.

Im not so sure about malaysia, i would guess isetan may sell or upper class department stores.

I bought mine in the states from amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-SM-KHE48AG...words=zojirushi

I also have the starbucks thermos which is made the company "thermos" which is good in its own right, but zojirushi is really the best you can get for the money.

The tumbler is just a reason to make you feel better to spend money.
Because you know there is discount, but in the end you still spend more to buy while it is not necessary.

Does starbucks still practice issuing the discount on starbucks tumblers only?

Overseas, especially in america and japan, i could use any tumbler and get a discount for it.

In malaysia, they will only issue you the discount if you use their own starbucks tumblers. If i had to guess, this wasnt a starbucks decision but berjaya groups greedy initiative to "promote" people to buy their tumblers.

7-11 is selling you the "convenience", so of course its gonna be abit more expensive.

The problem is there is basically a monopoly of convenience store in malaysia.

Come to japan and the prices are very competitive since there are alot of stores here like 7-11, lawson, family mart, mini-stop etc

I dont understand whats the problem with washing your own thumbler. Its not like your physically handicapped.

Plus, i laugh when regular ask the store to keep their personal tumblers on premise so that they dont need to bring their tumblers with them, they just come to the same store and get it from storage, plus they expect the staff to clean them after use, which we hardly do or just give it a quick rinse and thats it.

If you smelled the inside of a regular customers tumbler who has starbucks store it on premise, you would take it back and clean it yourself since the smell is disgusting.

Get a bottle brush to clean the inside.

I use tumblers when travelling or on the plane.

I bring onboard an empty tumbler. Before disembarking, i ask the stewards to top up my tumbler with hot coffee or tea.

I have done this not only with tumblers but stainless steel water bottle as well.

Hey guys, just wondering,, so far in my life I've only ordered like three or four frappucinos from Starbucks, and I notice a lot of my friends actually using their Starbucks tumblers and cards when buying their drinks, what are they for, actually? Does it even save you money?  shocking.gif  what are the prices for the tumblers sold in their outlets anyway? Just asking for curiosity's sake.
*
Marehsia still using cards? What era already, others like our neighbour already use mobile phone or barcode encoded into the tumbler to pay.
