QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Jun 5 2013, 07:46 AM) 15th anniversary tumbler @ rm33 still available. And actually u can save up to rm3 (including the rm2 like what other forummers said) when use tumbler. Why? Coz when u have a tumbler, say venti size, always order one size smaller, in this case, tall size. Why? Did u notice when they make the coffee, they can't always make exactly the amount needed and they always make more? If u use their normal cup, the extra will be dumped. But If u use tumbler, they will fill up the "extra" to ur tumbler. It's always almost full then. QUOTE(Blofeld @ Jun 8 2013, 07:43 PM) Although you get RM2 off by using the tumbler, but the trick is you get less portion of drink with that tumbler. One say less, one say more. So it's more or less? Try pouring coffee from your tumbler to a normal Starbucks cup, you can see the difference. Depends on which size you order I guess. |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jun 11 2013, 05:49 PM) wow...legendary munkeyflo from CC it depends, i think Blofeld is not wrong as well... in addition to what i've said, i think if u order with cream on top, then yes, it might be like what he said, as if u use tumbler, the cream might take up space in ur tumbler while using cup, the space is actually not eating space in ur cup, but the cover.. i don't like cream anyway, so yes, if u use venti tumbler and order tall, u will "earn" more |

There was once I asked for whipped cream on my frap (I love whipped cream) and the barista hand me my tumbler without the lid on with lots of whipped cream on top. I shall order tall next time. |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jun 11 2013, 09:48 PM) Hahaha. I do lurk serious /k/ as well. yup.....rule of thumb is to order a size down from ur tumblerMake sense. There was once I asked for whipped cream on my frap (I love whipped cream) and the barista hand me my tumbler without the lid on with lots of whipped cream on top. I shall order tall next time. even if u order 10 tall drinks, u still get grande size for the free drink if u r using starbucks card there are times that even there's still space in my tumbler and there's still leftover, the barista throw it away as well but for me about once in ten la |

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jun 4 2013, 12:43 AM) Hey guys, just wondering,, so far in my life I've only ordered like three or four frappucinos from Starbucks, and I notice a lot of my friends actually using their Starbucks tumblers and cards when buying their drinks, what are they for, actually? Does it even save you money? to answer each and every of your question:1. to store drinks, coffee purchased from starbucks 2. yes. RM2 3. Depends on size, type, material it usually range from RM40-RM130 This post has been edited by Chaud: Jun 12 2013, 01:43 PM |

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Jun 5 2013, 07:46 AM) 15th anniversary tumbler @ rm33 still available. I guess this is applicable to Frap drinks where the ratio is not important. And actually u can save up to rm3 (including the rm2 like what other forummers said) when use tumbler. Why? But If u use tumbler, they will fill up the "extra" to ur tumbler. It's always almost full then. For latte/cappuccino, you'll still get 1 shot of espresso, and to fill the gap, the barista will pour in extra milk, which will make the whole drink diluted with milk For espresso based drink (lattes for example), the size tells the coffee strength used. Tall = 1 shot Grande = 2 shots Venti = 3 shots |

Every regulars should know that. |

QUOTE(siowgirl @ Jun 7 2013, 09:57 AM) Aik Cheong coffee is different. That's "chemical coffee" with enhanced flavor.Starbucks gives you espresso shots, which is very different coffee extraction method. Pure 16g of crushed coffee bean amounting only 8ml of coffee. You can't get espresso shots easily unless you have a proper machine home costing probably RM2k onward. |

Its for the cool factor. I used to work for starbucks and they earn a pretty steep premium from making people buy their thumblers.
