the comparison between a Sharp Aquos and Bravia was the Aquos has sharper ppicture quality in default setting but the Bravia u need to max everything all up to get a clear and bright picture. I have my doubts with Bravia now..

Yes, Sharp is better and Sharp is No: 1 in the world, but different people have different taste mah. For me last time I did compared the display (Sony, Sharp and Philips all Full HD displays) by asking a Harvey Norman sales representative to test it with PS3 via HDMI (Hopefully he still not angry with me ) What I can see Sharp display color are more natural and warmer but too greenish to me. After the comparisons, I ended up to take Sony because overall I prefer more on the display quality, 3 years warranty, after sales services and design (I don't want bored to see the boring design for next 3 years). For sharpness, I don't see any difference by comparing the same source (PS3 via HDMI running 1080P) or maybe I old already

Do note that, new Bravia TV starts using Sharp panel (eg: S400 series)

So if you prefer Sharp Aquos, just go for it. Full Stop.

EDIT: Opps... Sharp now only best selling LCD TV in Japan, Sony now best selling in the world. Sorry for wrong info.

Before comparing, make sure the display is calibrated first. Most of the time the manufacturers setting is biased to make their LCD display look more oomph at first glance, at the sake of balance.

yes, test both BRAvia and Aquos on default setting using bluray and the Sharp does not lost its saturation but the Bravia looks a bit saturationless..... but that's just my opinion.

EDIT: i just found out that Sharp is the leader in LCD tv...patutlah...haha...

Buy new tv, and than can show new setup...
