you can on it for 24/7 if u got proper cooling on the inverter.
The ccfl itself is not easy to burn, but the inverter |

QUOTE(nghj @ Oct 29 2006, 12:02 AM) yupe, the prinsip behind ccfl is that they must be heated to work. maybe u can read it up on the internet. Glad to hear from that..then i shud not worry to put my CCFL under my psu most of the problems faced with ccfl is not the tube, but the inverter which keeps getting spoilt |

QUOTE(Acey @ Oct 28 2006, 06:55 PM) Theres not much heat there also. Besides, you'll want your CCFL to heat up, not cooled. Try blowing an intake fan at part of ur CCFL and see the difference in colour with the parts that are fully heated Erm..truely got no idea bout temperatures can actually affect the ccfl..btw,ccfl shud be working well and fine under certain tempereature, rite? This post has been edited by Calcool77: Oct 29 2006, 02:31 AM |

QUOTE(Vervain @ Oct 29 2006, 12:45 AM) Basically, ccfl are as safe as uv ccfl. many ppl have the impression that uv ccfl will have negative effect just because it's UV.They debate about it long and windingly here ady: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=342449&st=0 QUOTE(Calcool77 @ Oct 29 2006, 02:22 AM) You should take a look at this topic. Conclusion: CCFL must be heated up, Inverter must be cooled

How cool must it be in order to on 24/7?
Inverter also need to change to water cooling also ? Does it help much by putting a 80mm fan to cool off the inverter? |

I think its better you cool out the inverter, even its far away from heat source (CPU, VGA, PSU), IF you are running it 247
