who said that port is good???
that port is aledi famous with many of bug
plus becoz it is the default port that used by bt
if an isp want to block bt, they can simple block these port

you are suggest to use any port no. that between 49152 and 65534
but other than that also can use
juz make sure dun interfere with other application port
*
which port famours with many bug?
20000 or 6885-6889?

i am config using 20k port and only get for 10kb at all the time although i have open port and using 1 mb line.

can you help me to solve this problem?

what you mean by dont interfere with application ports?

you set the port forward only for UDP OR TCP OR BOTH?

the port that i said got many bugs is 6881-6999

if you aledi did the port forward
and also tweak the settings to the best
then there is nothing much to do
coz you're throttle like all of us in here

dun interfere with other application used port...
mean dun use the port that used by other application (check here)
and in port forward, i set 1 for TCP, and other 1 for UDP (didnt set both)

oh.. same problem with me.. the speed is so uncertain from time to time.
for uTorrent setting, i got quite a lot of tweak from the uTorrent forum.

it was pretty good, at least i can surf with any browser, any IM and little network disturb to other PC in LAN when i have my uTorrent running.

so, i guess you need to get the correct setting specially for your torrent client.

I'm using FlashGet to download torrent stuff.
But the speed is extremely slow.. 0.1- 1.0 kb/s
Tried the whole day also the same.
Anyway how to tweak it?

Hey...I'm using the 1mb package and am able to get full speed (90k) (using uTorrent) once in a while but my upload speed always seem to be stuck around 40kb even when I'm not downloading. I thought it was suppose to be at least 60kb?

Heres my settings:
Global Maximum no of connections : 120
Max number of connected peers per torrent: 40
No of upload slots per torrent: 10
Global max upload rate : 65kb
Global max download rate : 90kb

Is there anything I should change?

Well erm upload speed. I guess we still having 384k for the upload speed.
So I think the max is only around 384/8 = 48kbps. Well, download 1024/8 = 128kbps. And there are something to do with networking stuff. So the speed will get somewhat lower than this rate.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But streamyx still providing me this upload speed until now, 1mb pakage. rolleyes.gif

I've no idea how to tweak the speed. Before this using BitLord.
Now just formated, plan to give utorrent a try.
But the speed is terribly slow.
Same case with FlashGet.
What steps I need to do? Anything related to port?
I didn't change anything yet.

but Flash get only dl for small files such as mp3, mtv and game files. it dosnt provide any rmvb or mpeg fiels to dl.

So just tries for BT 0.70 sries.

port is suitable for Bt is 19000-22000.

dont try to go below this.

If we want the dl speed to be maxima then we should put upload for 1-10kb only .

it will boost up your dl speed.
