QUOTE(Reventon @ May 27 2013, 12:57 AM) The iOS download manager are so much better which is why i am still keeping iphone5. Nice clean interface and virtually max out the bandwidth available. I am still stuck with iOS due to readdledocs , goodreader , 1password and iGet Ohh ya my Papago GPS as well No substitute in the Android part , doesnt even come close readdledocs , goodreader , 1password I did a quick google. EZPDF is good as a PDF reader, and a couple of other good alternatives exist. 1password now has an Android version. Even Papago is on Android. Readdledocs PDF annotate feature is available in EZPDF. And of course quite a number of office viewers/editors exist, but if you want to use these it is more practical on a larger screen device. iGet, I don't know since I normally don't perform downloads on the phone.

alexng2208 grilleld is looking for Moon ROM testers for a new rom. Since a cat features prominently in her user banner why don't u do something of note for the Note2 community and donate your ...... time ... and you will get to correspond with her regularly and .... and ... and I'm sure your name will be immortalized in her credits.

Hi all good morning. For FB junkies.... http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/05/26/se...veryone-to-see/Stop me if you've heard this one before: Facebook has a privacy hole that exposes private information to the public. And it's a serious one, this time in Facebook Pages Manager for Android, which has been installed over 5 million times since January of this year. Let me explain. =========== Seems that privacy and FB don't mix at all

QUOTE(suntzulee @ May 27 2013, 09:49 AM) muctabata, gin&tonic you guys have mistaken me. What I meant to assist TS to do a more tidy and comprehensive job is like this. First, let say in V10, on the first page every update is there...now, what I mean in V11, TS no need to repeat what has already there in V10 page 1...like my suggestion, a post with a link of V10 will suffice to show whatever infos found in page 1. Moving on, in V12 TS will only need to post latest update in his first post, eventually anyone who needs to refer earlier infos will just need to click on let say a 2nd post with previous link to V11 or V10 page 1 because everything is already there.... I'm not referring those subsequent posts after TS normal first few posting....hmm, sound complicated but I hope you guys catch what i'm helping this forum to stay at the top notch. Bro, thank you for the suggestion but it IS COMPLICATED. This is a forum with linear postings, not a fully indexed and searchable database. I deal with shit like that all the time in my work. If we can get a quantum index that can instantaneously parse your query to the exact previous post, hallelujah man. Well there already is a changelog with links to prior changelogs, and also a previous threads post. I'm sure we would all find it extremely hard to tell a noob "please see v14 #365 for this response."

QUOTE(kurtkantoi @ May 27 2013, 09:58 AM) Is it possible to use the same thread continuously after 2500 posts? Would be easier for newbie like me to find whatever issue that has been discussed earlier. I wantedto add that unlike xda that does not limit a thread by posts, this is a necessary evil to "grow" page 1. And like what antt00 said some stuff discussed earlier is now no longer applicable.

QUOTE(Baronic @ May 27 2013, 10:33 AM) Ill chime in here so u guys can get back to actual device discussion. No, do not reroute to the old thread for info. Otherwise u will be digging up from v14 to v 13 and then v13 will say go to v13 and when u go to v12 suddenly see thread missing cuz forum has been cleaned up. All relevant info must be on the latest thread. A workarouns if u want to see only changes isto have a spoiler on top of "changes to first post since previous version" In additiin to the full complete info. Sorry for typos typing on phone. Thanks for clarifying. Just curious what happens during forum cleanup? Threads get deleted? Or moved to some Happy Posting Ground?

QUOTE(Baronic @ May 27 2013, 10:46 AM) They get teleported to another dimension automatically (gone for good). It doesnt happen that often this clean up, but it does happen periodically upon admin discretion. So linking back and back and back is a bad idea. Not to mention tedious. If some regulars really want it maybe put a spoiler with all the "changes since last thread". Heck if there was that maybe, just maybe ill start reading first post also haha Edit: that being said ty ts for maintaining the thread. Unsung hero Post 2 contains the changelog. Been there since v19. Perhaps I could spoiler the earlier changelogs in the same page now.....

QUOTE(disasternero @ May 27 2013, 11:34 AM) Posted in v22 It will help if youtube links have a short description, like "great drawing app" or something. It will help in understanding what the link is for. Cheers. QUOTE(Secret Hunter @ May 27 2013, 11:43 AM) okay, will send it for warranty. thanks increasing reports of SDS. QUOTE(btfan @ May 27 2013, 11:30 AM) Guys, is the screen suppose to light up every time when you get a SMS? If yes, anyway to disable it? It's quite distracting not to mention redundant since you already got LED indicator. You could spend a little time in the Settings section of the device. Enlightening exercise. Settings > Motion > Smart Alert ? I turn off all these things from day 1 and I typically forget about it. QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 27 2013, 12:20 PM) when did you first got your Note 2? *get* This post has been edited by joytest: May 27 2013, 12:24 PM

Just got this in my mailbox: Jobstreet survey on gender discrimination at work: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/M3GKQVHIt's built in to being human. Please tell me you want to increase the number of female garbage collectors, since I'm sure it's disproportionately skewed to being a male occupation. Or tell me you want more male nursery/kindergarten teachers.... This post has been edited by joytest: May 27 2013, 12:33 PM

QUOTE(hooh888 @ May 27 2013, 12:34 PM) all i want is more female programmers lol. With guys in suits that eat them up, I don't think they'll be that inclined to take it up as a profession hahahahaha... It's been studied that women prefer jobs that don't make them stick around unshaven, un-bathed dudes for 16+ hours a day.... =================== Anyway, some guy commented about Opera: #Opera is really bad. First a mediocre browser experience, second bad promotion methods (e.g. spam). Why do they nag me to submit apps to their mobile store? And like 3 days later "Hello, please, why don't you reply?". Just pathetic. ============== Personally I experienced the same when I was on their previous versions. Have stopped using it the last few months.

QUOTE(Baronic @ May 27 2013, 01:02 PM) What broswer do you use then? Am currently using and loving Boat Browser. Pretty decent and I love the ui and ease of switching tabs. All is at the bottom no need to mpve finger high up to do it (cuz of screen big) Stock browser, and occasionally Chrome. Stock browser with that pie menu under Labs is pretty nifty.

Welcome. Do add yourself via the form in post 4. Have a read of page 1 if you are new to Android. QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 27 2013, 02:04 PM) don't see the needs for a powerbank since Note 2 battery life is quite sufficient for a complete day usage Well, if you go on a trip, powerbank !!!!! QUOTE(Baronic @ May 27 2013, 02:16 PM) yea not very easy. but doable when i use it. if i was actually interested in using that case i'd cut off and shave that silly bar at the spen. no idea what was the logic why it was there. I think that bar is for you to loop a lanyard if you wish I would have done so. Or maybe it's just an embellishment for a nice tactile fingering when you want to extract the S-pen. QUOTE(Baronic @ May 27 2013, 02:20 PM) serious? damn. i kinda liked it. i wanted to try this. http://casemachine.com/wp-content/plugins/...category_id=257RM 360 bucks lmao. I would have bought it anyway but some people complain about their other cases' quality. and no reviews on the note 2 one Waaahhhh..... nice but sooooo expensive. And the angling of the back plate looks like it's going to be even more susceptible to denting.... not good for people with OCD.

Hmmm, since we are all bored to tears waiting for 4.2.2, anyone want to share how they've used Office type apps? Since there was that video showing the Note/Note 2 connecting to everything.
Personally, one of my gripes is the non-scalable sliders and status bars of these apps, which take up way too much space. It makes the app usable only on screens 7" or larger. I've also tried stuff like Jump Desktop but company security policies usually discourage such programs.
