I do came across many PC that combines avira with other AV (mcafee/norton/AVG/avast) without problems. But I still don't recommend though.

maybe avira is one of those "I work happily with others" AV.

Still..I've never seen anyone combine avira with "I WORK ALONE" AV such as Kaspersky..

a-squared will show u millions of definition updates but they nvr catch anything other than cookies

if you are looking for a good freeware then Symantec Antivirus is a good option..
