Does any1 know how to change the alert sound in KIS? the default sound is starting to get annoying need to change to something less irritating.

but after that, my comp "keluar" blue screen la..
memory dump.....error....
same also wen using mc afee virus scan

this happened to active virus shield (with kaspersky engine) too, when detected trojan/virus, it "screams"... quite scary...

To all who want to install more then 1 AV, you need to disable one and let one run.

Actually it's not recommended to have more than 1 av running.

For the kaspersky alert when it catches virus, Yes you can change the sound. I'll guide you how but make sure you follow correctly.

1. go to C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0\Skin\sounds

you will see the files "Infected". Now, you may want to copy and backup the file somewhere else incase you need it.
Next, choose the sound you want to replace. It must be in WAV format. Rename the sound to "Infected" without the " and place it in the sound folder located at
C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0\Skin\sounds

Thanks for the guide cornelius_young. i did try what u tell me to do but the Intected.wav file is a protection file, cant replace it. Can u show me how to disable the protection?

Hi there, nid some advise here. Is bitdefender free edition V10 is up against any well known av?

I installed Norton Internet Security as a play around. Now i cant uninstall it. Ths happened in my older laptop.

My question, why does it happen actually? Virus contaminated the file ka?

u can use the uninstaller from norton website there.

my licence haven't expired yet. still got 1 month left. last week can update. only recently cannot.
not only that, i can't sign into WLM.
my OrbitDownloader doesn't work too. the Grab+ cannot download youtube video. i'm using the latest version for all software.

As with most shareware,they let u try it before you but concept for 2-4 weeks.The trial version is free while the ful version get u to the developer site to update virus definitions and among others beyond the trial period.

I have been using NOD32 for a number of years and have never looked back since then.

ur kas license expired when??..n ur update on9 or manually??..

mine expire on feb. i update online like usual. not only that, i can't even sign in my WLM as well as using orbit downloader. dunno suddenly why so many internet connectivity restricted.

edit: problem solved. i change the proxy in IE to default and everything went back to normal. i have no idea how these apps have to do with IE.
