yeah,
i am using sygate firewall now
think it is running lite than my Sunbelt Kerio...

love it but...one more thing..it have a super duper "back trace" option which we can trace who is trying to talk with your PC without authorization...

i always get this message frequently thru my Celcom 3G DataCard...is it someone trying to hack me??

Hmm so looks like ZA is not LYN's first choice anymore? I'm looking for a decent firewall for my new Dell 6400, any recommendations? I know Sygate's pretty good but since there isn't any more updates on it, what's the next best choice?

I'm actually still having ZA 5.5.062 on this desktop without much problems, but it's a fairly old version with no updates..

Thanks for the suggestion GS, will try out Outpost first smile.gif

Btw, anymore ZA users here without major problems? I might stick back to ZA since I'm pretty much used to it already, then again there's no harm in trying better new firewalls.

well i'm on ZoneAlarm 6.5.737 FireWall (Free). IMO, it's rocks, even blocked my bro's IP laugh.gif, but can add to trusted IP via it's control panel which is very user friendly...
for this time being, i might be stick with ZoneAlarm (i used to use Windows Firewall)...

Which version did you use, if you don't mind me asking? IMO Norton is even slower than Zone Alarm at startup. I've never had any issues with crashing except for compatibility issues when I go online sometimes. Uh..what's bsod?

That's the thing I like bout ZA, it's pretty much user friendly. I think I'll give ZA a try first then Outpost if ZA messes up my laptop.
