Ah uncle, what I mean is, for a person with over 10 years working experience and the world top 10 international bank, dealing with big shots and lawyers, you sound, mmm, don't know how to say. A simple call can make you feel so frustrated, some one well over 30, really?

Anyway, someone posted a survey for financial industry few pages back, you might want to take a look.

So hot? SG very small la next time he become your boss you die.

QUOTE(Argiope @ Sep 12 2013, 11:17 PM)
I've encountered that myself during my early days here. One of the local banks here actually divide 2.4 of my pay in Malaysia just because they are paying SGD. Gosh, that bank should go fly kite.
*
If the salary offered is SG market rate for your job then should be fair enough. 1 to 1 our Indonesian friend would love to come here. After 1 to 1, discount 50% also worth for them.

Anyone can tell me why there is not even one economic mixed rice stall in Singpaore that allows their patrons to pick up their dishes individually like wat we used to in malaysia?

At first I thought you mean returning your own tray after you finish your meal biggrin.gif

Followings for current EP renewal grace period for min starting 3300 pay criteria:-

1)Passes expiring before 1 Jan 2014 will be given a one-time renewal
of 2-3 years based on current criteria

2)Passes expiring between 1 Jan 2014 to 30 Jun 2014 can be renewed for up to one year.

3)Those expiring 30 June 2014 onwards, all EP holders will have to meet the new criteria of higher starting pay on renewal to qualify

They keep raising the minimum requirement of EP mean good news? Company forced to pay higher salary because S-Pass quota finish, have to hire as EP, so higher pay rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

you wish. some companies give you EP level pay on paper to get approved but your offer letter states an amount that is below it. so every month you have to return that difference to the company whistling.gif whistling.gif

This one you can call MOM to report, they will give you good foreign talent award.

I don't know where you are getting to in guiding young couples to start a family in Singapore. Throwing in an X6 with a S$1.6Mil condo example; is analogous to killing the self-esteem of a guy struggling to decide a S$1.7k flat monthly pay.

85 to 90% of locals stay in Public Housing in Singapore and only the 60th decile and above owns a car. For all the intents and purposes of your post, it just suggests that you will either struggle to start a family young, or you just die trying. Extrapolating your "guide" attest to this.

She is one of those rich kids, think as those 2nd generation rich PRC that always create a scene and got upload to youtube haha. One of the contributor to the sky high property price by hoarding few houses. Never understand bottom and middle class people's problem one.

appreciate your input on the house buying...but still, your example is seriously ridiculous.
you say that when foreigner (us) come at first, we cannot buy HDB as we are not PR straight away
true...then how do you even expect one to have CPF for the initial payment or afford payment for installments using CPF?
most will be unable afford the initial 30% payment required...most of us are already having problems with initial payment for HDB and you come suggesting a 1.6m condo?
and the car...as all have mentioned, is an even more absurd example.
maybe your true intent is to help...but it kinda feels like you trying to show off
seriously your examples are just plain trolling pretty much like the over sensitive long eared animal.
*
So much back fire lol. All think you showing off. Might as well tell them how much offer for the house you staying now. drool.gif 2nd gen 2nd gen mad.gif

There are 3 type of employment / work passes which are EP (Employment passs), SP (S Pass) and WP (Work permit)

By the way I have heard that if you are a WP holder before / still holding WP, you can't get married with Singaporean or Singaporean PR in Singapore.
*
WP can't get pregnant or give birth here, talk about human rights...

Any type of permit or pass needs to be renewed. PRs have no renewal requirement (REP Reentry Permit is a related but separate matter). And more and more, you will see the permit and pass holders bearing the brunt of any govt pandering to the misguided sentiments of their citizens. As a PR, you are relatively more shielded from such short sighted measures.

To avoid things like this?

http://www.onenewspage.com/n/Asia-Pacific/...t-Singapore.htm

"When Filipino Edwin Macaraig tried switching jobs this year, he did not expect his application for a new Employment Pass (EP) to be rejected by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) - twice."

And to be (officially, at least) considered for any job positions first before any foreigner?

Don't know when they will start indirectly targeting PR by refusing renewal of REP.

not much grounds for you to negotiate. In fact I known quite a few cases that those who stay in jb will get 2nd priority for promotion and career move compares with those stay locally.
*
Never know promotion now can be based on where you stay.
