QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ May 29 2013, 08:57 AM) It doesn't matter if the cars are licensed or not if they still can't get rid of the old, arcade physics. Like the past installments, end up every car feel and drive identical with each other. Feels like nothing more than a reskin. I dont think having arcade physics is bad, but Criterion has a tendency to make the physics to be really bad, as if you are driving a slot car that automatically drifts for no good reason when you turn. Generally, the cars feels very heavy and clunky, as if you are driving a 100 tonne truck. Not to forget about that annoying crash cam that they love putting.

The car tend to slide in every turn no matter what car your drive, it's beyond arcadey and doesn't make any sense. Maybe they thought it's cool and flashy. For Burn Out maybe it was, but for NFS it doesn't feel right.

I wont call it arcade, but I'll say that it is more like the game is driving the car for you.

Another cold blooded title likely. City with zero population, ghost cars, ghost drivers, ghost traffic.
There is no sense of life especially in the last game. Too darn cold.
At least BlackBox's last NFS (TheRun) have something nice, but ultimately it was too short and simple (and some other technical problems).
Seriously, some good ol' characters like Mr.Cross can really be a NFS iconic star if they actually do it right...

Not the best but one of the most entertaining

In fact, in Need For Speed 4: High Stakes, the car will only be visually upgraded only when you purchase the upgrade packs in career mode. IMO, NFS 4 is still the second best NFS series, after Underground 2.

Nah, they can keep the F12, I'll probably get The Crew, as it looks fun with a more passive MP system like Dark Souls. Quite like what I am seeing from that game so far, while Rivals seemed to be another bland NFS from EA.
What a waste of awesome licenses.

Same thing again. Nice multi-million roads in the middle of no where with multi-million cars drifing and with a bunch of cops that have limitless $$$ and car to wreak chasing after you, oh and stupid cops AI that bumb each other cars too when they cruising around.
Sure, that's the ORIGINAL NFS, but sometime, we need some changes of taste.

The most underwhelming racing game from the E3. Feel a little bit embarrassing as well watching my childhood franchise turn into joke.

Pretty much every racing game shown on E3 is way better than NFS Rivals. EA just keep screwing up the NFS franchise.
I am actually looking forward to The Crew and GT6.
Not to mention, even a small indie game called Distance looks a lot more fun than any NFS these days.
