The new studio is still being lead by one of Criterion's executive. Im not expecting the physics to be any fun to drive while EA, as usual will overemphasize on their multiplayer with the game having barely any content.

QUOTE(Archaven @ May 24 2013, 07:07 PM) Looks like CG.. i'd be happy if the next generation graphics are really here. Yeah, its next gen graphics, in low res such as 720p. Pretty much all the new next gen games only have videos on 720p on yourtube where other games that are multiplatform has 1080p on youtube.

QUOTE(andrewtho @ May 26 2013, 02:15 PM) Update: Pre-Orders benefits: GET THE ULTIMATE COP PACK Exclusive access to the Nissan GT-R Black Edition Early access to level 2 gadget technology Exclusive livery options EA had only announced the name of the new game, a stupidly short teaser and barely any other information, now, they had announced the preorder bonuses already? Oh, not to forget that they will be using the same shitty drifting "arcade" physics from HP2010 and MW2012, i'll pass. Criterion is a shitty studio to be involved in any NFS game.

QUOTE(andrewtho @ May 26 2013, 02:29 PM) Won't be surprised by more DLCs in future, then again I'll wait for the gameplay trailer before making a call, the graphics looks amazing anyway. Just hope they don't ruin it like MW. Criterion had ruined 2 of my favourite NFS's reboot, I aint holding my breath this time. Graphics doesnt mean much, if the gameplay is as bad as driving a slot car on a fixed rail. I think EA should just kill NFS franchise since it is incredibly mediocre these days.

QUOTE(maranello55 @ May 26 2013, 02:33 PM) It was revived with Shift series, then, died again after SMS left. Shift's physics is no where as good as most games, as it is flawed, but at least the cars are actually fun to drive, compared to the crap that Criterion spew out these days.

QUOTE(maranello55 @ May 26 2013, 02:36 PM) true. SMS been bz wif pCARS. at least the ffb is good for a WIP SMS put in a lot of effort to tune the FFB right from the beginning, but the physics is still off, despite it is a lot less arcadish. Bugs are everywhere but it is expected in a pre-alpha.

QUOTE(joshuachew @ May 27 2013, 06:52 PM) How do I preorder the game and will this play on 1080p on the PC? Might as well hang on to your purchase as the game will probably be another terrible installment as the last 4 NFS are awful to the point it only worth15USD.

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ May 29 2013, 08:57 AM) It doesn't matter if the cars are licensed or not if they still can't get rid of the old, arcade physics. Like the past installments, end up every car feel and drive identical with each other. Feels like nothing more than a reskin. I dont think having arcade physics is bad, but Criterion has a tendency to make the physics to be really bad, as if you are driving a slot car that automatically drifts for no good reason when you turn. Generally, the cars feels very heavy and clunky, as if you are driving a 100 tonne truck. Not to forget about that annoying crash cam that they love putting.

QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ May 29 2013, 10:34 AM) Yup. That's what i was trying to say. The car tend to slide in every turn no matter what car your drive, it's beyond arcadey and doesn't make any sense. Maybe they thought it's cool and flashy. For Burn Out maybe it was, but for NFS it doesn't feel right. Even Burnout doesnt do that as excessively as Criterion NFSs. I wont call it arcade, but I'll say that it is more like the game is driving the car for you.

Nah, they can keep the F12, I'll probably get The Crew, as it looks fun with a more passive MP system like Dark Souls. Quite like what I am seeing from that game so far, while Rivals seemed to be another bland NFS from EA.
What a waste of awesome licenses.

Pretty much every racing game shown on E3 is way better than NFS Rivals. EA just keep screwing up the NFS franchise.
I am actually looking forward to The Crew and GT6.
Not to mention, even a small indie game called Distance looks a lot more fun than any NFS these days.

EA should just can the whole Need for Speed series.
Rivals looked like shit seriously and again, its another NFS with nothing much to do.

QUOTE(munlok30 @ Nov 23 2013, 01:07 AM) guys , anyone had bought this game ( how much is it ?) can i know how was the game ?? planning to buy it very soon =p how is the gameplay ?? is that better than the previous nfs ? I dont think its worth buying as its just another NFS with nothing much to do. Like HP2010 and MW2012, both of them were fun for the first 5 hours but it gets really stale and boring after that. I really doubt this NFS will be any better than previous one while the PC version is very vulnerable to hacking which the console version is much better IMO.

QUOTE(Shiniz @ Nov 23 2013, 02:21 PM) this...it a mix of NFSHP2010 and the most recent most wanted...they juz kinda merged the 2 stuff together..and customization is crap.... Both NFS are really crap in comparison to others as they are severely lacked of content. There is just nothing to do in the game after first 5 hours while the driving physics of both games are awful. QUOTE(Shiniz @ Nov 23 2013, 04:42 PM) the moment i m the front screen..." aint that the same design title as NFSHP?" and when im in game " what is this non-skip-able-useless tutorial? that 10 min for intro to cop and another 10 for racer...wth? " and easy drive? lol yea screw that...seriously as mention it lacked of content..i guess it does full fill some of the fans wishes for ferrari...which i m not so fancy off..the amount of cars is like 15 or 20..wth.. If you like Shift 2, there are tonnes of Ferrari mods out there that adds F40 to modern 458 GT3. I rather play that instead.
