hehe

For Lego hunting within (East) Asia, I would say HK is a must go.

QUOTE(wintzen @ May 30 2013, 02:30 PM)
I think it's a nice place to shop, but I do find the locals a bit rowdy, especially when you're sight seeing on the street, but all of them are like rushing to go somewhere and banged on your shoulder.
*
True. HK pace of life/work is faster than SG, which is then faster than KL.
Every minute/seconds count for them. Sometimes I see people running inside MTR station, I thought there was chaos/riot/something ... then I look jakun only doh.gif

But there are also many China-mainland tourist in HK, you will know the moment they open up their mouth to talk in non-HK-Cantonese.

QUOTE(Caryane @ May 30 2013, 02:50 PM)
hehehe i dont mind, i'm in an international company but then... well lets just say, every household has some dark secrets tongue.gif

True. e.g. I have friend who left Shell. Not contract worker.

I was in Seoul last year. The South Koreans are the same. Will knock into you.

Worse still is they spit EVERYWHERE!  Almost got hit by projectiles multiple times. Keep your eyes peeled.

As for LEGO prices,  can't comment as I wasn't into LEGO yet then and toy shops was not on the agenda.
*
Me too. I didn't know Korea has cheap Lego. Did not check it doh.gif I was at the two famous shopping areas in Seoul. Forgot what name.

Minifigs...!!! Minifigs there cheap?? Like ironman or batman...  unsure.gif
*
Minifigs price varies. S10 or those available a lot, I can see from HKD15-25 range.
Then another batch HKD25-40
Chicken Man S9 ? is HKD50 = RM20
Then start to creep higher ... I saw The Stig (UK) keychain for HKD380 (RM152) shakehead.gif
Some shops also sell in 10x packs. e.g. Storm Troopers about HKD750 (RM300) per pack (10x inside)
Also got sell boxes of figs from S6-S10 ... range HKD1100-1600 (roughly that's I recall)

Super Heroes not my forte, so I just take pic to share (actually I think they not allow)

To some bros who request purchase help,

Sorry, my luggage is over-filled with own purchases ...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Bottom row of 3 bags (white/blue) are earlier purchases.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Top rows are today's haul, together with 2x bags (black and transparent) outside the luggage on the left. sweat.gif
Trying to place it in, but my other stuff also not yet in, such as clothes, working stuff, cables/chargers, etc. ... unless ... I throw it all away.

Laptop bag has 1.5" thick of building instruction manuals ... heavy rclxub.gif

Nice!! I think maybe we should organize our own trip to HK among the forumners here. Then at least we can go compare prices, discuss, poison each other and haul like no tomorrow laugh.gif Anyway have a safe trip back bro biggrin.gif

hehe... Chima also not my forte ... but I talk with shop sellers, they say HK is lauching summer sets this week, but exclusives for Toys 'R' Us and those big retailers in HK.

Next week, they (everyone) are allowed to sell.

No wonder, I recall, I think I saw the creator tree houses, 31011 aviation, mines of moria, etc. hmm.gif
