Hi sifus, i just wanna clarify bout my CL with EPP.

Current EPP every month is rm300, total left is 1.2k (4 mths)

My CL is 5k. For example if my current usage is rm3k, will i have a remaining balance of 1.7k or 800 only, as the CS told me smtg like my total EPP is included in the CL. But i remember swiping more than my limit if it includes the total remaining amount..

Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks!
*
800 left only, banks may allow you to overspend on a small percentage. If you have 5k limit and wish to swipe till 7k, i think it is difficult

what is usd charge if using amex in paypal? vy high?

Use only on weekends while your RM50 rebate quota is still available, provided the merchant also processes your order on weekend. Else, you may end up paying more compare with using Visa/Mastercard

I just charged my Amex and Visa for USD on the same day.. Visa charged about 1% while Amex charged about 3%..

Amex charged: USD 1 = RM 3.10

Visa charged: USD 1 = RM 3.06

you can use Visa Exchange link below to get rough calculation of the exchange rate of the day:

*
Provided that both transactions were processed on the same day, then Amex was having better rate after after including the 5 times point factor

From what I can see on  hmm.gif previous posts, Visa and Mastercard offers better rate than AMEX. Which is better? notworthy.gif  icon_question.gif

difficult to say, should be around the same aftor factoring in treat points. if on weekend, RM50 rebate still got quota, then use amex

i'm in dilemma to use my mb2card amex or ocbc titanium mc for online shopping

would u guys still use amex if you already max the rebate out?

which is better?

1% rebate + better exchange rate of MC  or  2.++% rebate worth in TP + poorer exchange rate
*
for online shopping anyday the best is UOB VOX. for weekend Amex will be better because of the 5% rebate provided you have not fully utilised it, somemore RM is not accepted for online transaction. OCBC titanium has 1% rebate should be better on weekdays compare with Amex

there is no hidden charges by paypal while using amex. you need to add your card into paypal before you can start paying through it. so far i experience no issue while using amex, dont even need to call before using

upgrade from gold to platinum can use Latest BE? although monthly salary less than 5k?

provided you can prove your income pa is more than 60k then should be ok.

anyway, there's not much difference in terms of benefits although Amex Platinum will have much more benefits sometimes

principal card holder means the owner of the cards, sup cards holders most likely have no rights to redeem points

What la, Maybank frequently block Paypal transaction. I kena both Amex & Visa Gold  while trying to verify those cards in paypal. And then spend RM1-2 calling CS to unblock. BTW these are new cards issued last mnth..

If it's for security, why don't they use the SMS TAC mechanism, where you're required to enter a one-time TAC which is sent to ur mobile.......
*
lol, paypal transactions usually automatically go through. no need any secure codes.

if your paypal account is hacked, your debts are going up

you will gain higher approval rate if you have pledged FD with MBB, it is true as mentioned by branch staff. my friend got it approved by pledging 5k FD.

I'm a new maybankard gold user (applied in the month of June) and i did quite a few transactions on weekends. But in the latest statement which i received on 26th of June , i realised there are no mentions of rebates in it. So, i guess it should be reflected on the following statements on 1st or 2nd day as per FAQs (1st page?)
*
cash back is based on calendar month, not statement cycle

Would we be able to print the payment receipt if done via Future Transfer ?

can print receipt at savings account - M2u history

QUOTE(-Matrix- @ Jul 2 2013, 03:55 PM)
i've made some transactions on sat (29-june) and sun (30-june), both last days of the month of june 2013 ... at first i couldn't see ALL the transactions viewing from maybank2u portal under "transaction history" even on 1-july ...

only today (2-july), i can see all of them and fortunately all of their "posting date" did not spill into july, otherwise it would be included into july weekend rebate calculation, if i read the page#1 correctly ...

so, i'm just wondering if it would be of any benefits to forumners to identify which merchants actually did their posting date in such manner (such as transaction date on 29th/30th but posting date on 1st/2nd or even later than that) ...

not sure if those merchants deliberately did their posting 2 days or more for certain reasons but it would surely affect AMEX spenders, especially if the amount is huge ... just my opinion ... ignore this if it would not make any difference ...
cheers ...
*
it depends on the merchants, some of them submit their claims daily, some not. as i know Parkson is very fast, i think is daily. foreign transactions tend to be slower
