I saw my cash rebate in my account but the statement due on 12.
just wondering. does it mean every month from 1st to 30/31st will be the rebate period and nothing to do with bill cycle ?
*
Rebate will be posted on 1st of the next month. Doesn't depend on Statement Date.
Rebate creditted can be considered as payment to Outstanding Statement Balance
Eg. May's weekend rebate posted on 1 June 2013.

The M2U Rewards (TreatsPoints) page has been redesigned.
And I'm missing 1044 TreatsPoints from the summary page... but the individual card listing is correct doh.gif doh.gif

Guys, things have changed with Agoda now. From now on, always choose MYR as your checkout currency as Agoda's rate is now better than ever! And you will save even more if you have MBB2 AMEX. And because your card will be billed in MYR, you do not have to worry about AMEX's high foreign exchange rate! I have just booked a room through the Maybank Agoda promotion landing page, paid with my MBB2 AMEX, got 7% off + about 2.5% (5x TP) + redeemed 12,500 Agoda rewards points (equivalent to USD25). Save myself quite some money.
*
That's what I calculated previously... next hotel will be booked in MYR.
I assume AMEX will be charged on the weekends to get 5X TreatsPoints

Hey guys,
I swipe my amex card on 1st june (last saturday) thinking that statement always ended on the last day of the month.
however, i just checked my may statement, and the cycle ended on june 2nd.

does that mean statement cycle only starts on 1st business day of the month?
and will it still get calculated for my weekend rebate for june? (because for some transactions on 1st june, the posting date was 3rd june....)
*
Statement Date can be changed by calling the MBB CS hotline.
Weekend Rebate calculation - refer to Post #1/#2

Ok i just called up maybank, apparently, statement cycles never end on the last day of the month (eg 30/31). instead it ends 2nd of the next month....

Is anyone aware of this?
*
Statement Cycle depends on your Statement Date doh.gif
Don't assume everything ends on the end of the month

Just received my maybank 2 card last week.
May I know how to waive GST that they charge me?
Normally other banks can waive it if we swipe the new card 3 times after activation. How about maybank?
*
No waiver of GST from Maybank....unfortunately.

Yes you can use Maybankard 2 AMEX's "TreatsPoints(TP)" to redeem the GST.... not AMEX's "Membership Rewards(MR)"

Thank you ! Appreciate it. i have 5k points in my account already. guess another 1 month will have enough point for GST redemption
*
That's why Maybank doesn't charge the GST immediately upon card approval.... give you time to accummulate TPs first.

will I get the carried forward rebate?
I max out the rm50 rebate last month without this transaction. if I can get this carried forward rebate, I'll have to plan my spending.

It will be calculate as part of the JUne 2013 Weekend Rebate

Guys I want to ask something.

I see this - "SERVICE TAX - PRINCIPAL      RM 50.00" on my AMEX dated 15 May 2013. This is the gov tax once a year right?

Today I see another "SERVICE TAX - PRINCIPAL      RM 50.00" dated 16 June 2013 but it charged under my Mastercard.

How come I been charged 2 times in 1 year?

rclxub.gif

Or is it every cards will be charged the gov tax?
*
There's another RM50.00 CR to offset "SERVICE TAX - PRINCIPAL RM 50.00" lah doh.gif doh.gif
