best possible hope is tng hubs to accept amex. currently they accept visa/mastercard.

last time nandos feedback was some outlets doesnt have amex support on their terminal. this could be outlet-specific.

other outlets, e.g. Suria KLCC or Mid Valley or Bukit Bintang accepts AMEX (last i dined there).

those topups/reloads are already sold to them at discounted rate (from telco). not sure how much, but the 5% could be from their profit margin, probably making just 1-2%

nonetheless, it all benefits the consumers convenience and cheaper price

uniqlo mostly accept amex. i tried on KLCC. some other forumers tried at other places.

h&m, so far no one can confirm amex acceptance, yet. mostly rejected.

personal taste, i prefer uniqlo's style than h&m's

Using HSBC terminal.

Starbucks @ Sunway Pyramid accepts AMEX

TGV Cinemas @ Sunway Pyramid accepts AMEX.

Surprisingly, there is discount in ticket price using Maybank amex card.

Normal ticket price @ RM12, but can choose for RM10 price but Standard seats. This discount offers daily.

Lastly chose normal price for better seats at the back.

p/s: TGV staff said discount is better for after 12pm movies cuz normal ticket price is RM18 for weekend movies. Didn't know ask how much after discounted.

*update. OK this mentioned on Maybank's promo page. RM10 for all shows before 6pm. Standard seats.

Uniqlo @ Sunway Pyramid accepts AMEX

well, like kimgy86 posted before, Uniqlo KLCC doesnt accept AMEX, although i did shop there (Aug 2013) where it accepted.

David83 did say whole franchise accepts AMEX but some branches may not ready. So the KLCC store revert from accepted -> not accepted is a strange move

anyways, good to know latest amex acceptance from retail stores.

petronas kinrara. 1% cash surcharge (acceptable, imo). effective cashback rate would be 4% + 5x TP.

it's near to Sunway. take the LDP toll heading to Puchong/Bukit Jalil. After toll, keep left to take the exit to Bukit Jalil. Immediately stay left, cuz Petronas is on the left side already. You can see the big signboard. Cant missed it.

oh no no, dont use the TnG SPOT inside that's the official tng reload counter. they only accept cash.

go to the Petronas counter instead (inside the mart). their POS accepts cash/cc (visa/mc/amex) they told me all cc transactions will incur 1% cash surcharge.

i just reloaded (the matrix??) my tng last Saturday

You may not be able to turn to Petronas immediately due to fast incoming cars. There's a small entrance slightly after petronas, that goes thru and around the back of shoplots/houses. you'll reach Petronas from the inner road.

well, you can do this when you're nearby Kinrara/Sunway. else, you're wasting money/toll/petrol just to drive there
