QUOTE(steventan85 @ Feb 15 2014, 06:19 PM) am i still entitled for 10% discount on etiqa insurance if i call them to renew my roadtax on saturday ? i know i can get 5% discount on amex , but how about 10% discount on policy ? yes, insurance companies have to offer mandatory rebates to customers who buy insurance directly such as through the Internet, telemarketing, direct mailing, or walk-in customers. with amex 5% cashback capped at RM50 per calendar month (RM1K spending) + 2X TP, it'd be a waste though maybe Aeon Watami can serve the purpose

QUOTE(ronnie @ Feb 19 2014, 03:32 PM) Is there a new rule for Nandos on not accepting AMEX ?? last time nandos feedback was some outlets doesnt have amex support on their terminal. this could be outlet-specific. other outlets, e.g. Suria KLCC or Mid Valley or Bukit Bintang accepts AMEX (last i dined there).

QUOTE(kimgy86 @ Feb 23 2014, 05:29 PM) hope so...but guess the charges are too high for them... currently watson tng gt 5% rebates topup... i reloaded RM200 and get RM10 rebates...lolx those topups/reloads are already sold to them at discounted rate (from telco). not sure how much, but the 5% could be from their profit margin, probably making just 1-2% nonetheless, it all benefits the consumers convenience and cheaper price

TGV Cinemas @ Sunway Pyramid accepts AMEX. Surprisingly, there is discount in ticket price using Maybank amex card. Normal ticket price @ RM12, but can choose for RM10 price but Standard seats. This discount offers daily. Lastly chose normal price for better seats at the back. p/s: TGV staff said discount is better for after 12pm movies cuz normal ticket price is RM18 for weekend movies. Didn't know ask how much after discounted. *update. OK this mentioned on Maybank's promo page. RM10 for all shows before 6pm. Standard seats. QUOTE(ronnie @ Mar 1 2014, 09:12 PM) All Uniqlo outlets accepts AMEX already.... I'm waiting for H&M outlets to accept AMEX too. well, like kimgy86 posted before, Uniqlo KLCC doesnt accept AMEX, although i did shop there (Aug 2013) where it accepted. David83 did say whole franchise accepts AMEX but some branches may not ready. So the KLCC store revert from accepted -> not accepted is a strange move anyways, good to know latest amex acceptance from retail stores.

QUOTE(discoinferno1 @ Mar 5 2014, 12:59 AM) Does anyone know where one can reload their Touch-n-Go using Amex with a minimum charge? Used to go to Mydin in Bkt Jalil but now its closed down. Ok, found this in the list - Mydin - Sri Manja, Petaling Jaya (Touch n Go reload accepted)
Anywhere else?petronas kinrara. 1% cash surcharge (acceptable, imo). effective cashback rate would be 4% + 5x TP. it's near to Sunway. take the LDP toll heading to Puchong/Bukit Jalil. After toll, keep left to take the exit to Bukit Jalil. Immediately stay left, cuz Petronas is on the left side already. You can see the big signboard. Cant missed it. QUOTE(DarReNz @ Mar 5 2014, 08:28 AM) I have tried that petronas they don't charge rm 0.50 for topup and they have specific counter for touch & go, unfortunately I ask can use amex, they said cash only oh no no, dont use the TnG SPOT inside that's the official tng reload counter. they only accept cash. go to the Petronas counter instead (inside the mart). their POS accepts cash/cc (visa/mc/amex) they told me all cc transactions will incur 1% cash surcharge. i just reloaded (the matrix??) my tng last Saturday This post has been edited by cybpsych: Mar 5 2014, 08:39 AM

QUOTE(holybo @ Mar 9 2014, 09:13 PM) where is it? right after sg besi toll? here's the map (credits to Ronnie): http://goo.gl/maps/2qQNxit's near to Sunway. take the Sunway LDP toll heading to Puchong/Bukit Jalil. After this toll, keep left to take the exit heading to Bukit Jalil. Immediately keep on the left lane, cuz Petronas is on the left side already. You may not be able to turn to Petronas immediately due to fast incoming cars. There's a small entrance slightly after petronas, that goes thru and around the back of shoplots/houses. you'll reach Petronas from the inner road.

QUOTE(smallcrab @ Mar 31 2014, 05:03 PM) wow, this is great! now i can maximise my cashback, coz i don't usually spend enough to get the RM50 cashback/month. well, you can do this when you're nearby Kinrara/Sunway. else, you're wasting money/toll/petrol just to drive there
