Hey all,

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
Intel Core i5 4670K RM729
Asus Z87M-Plus RM690
Plextor M5S 128GB - 299
WD Blue 1TB RM187
Leadtek GTX770 3GB RM1499
Corsair TX750M / Rosewill Tachyon 750w - RM400~
Silverstone TJ08E - RM350

Around 4k. The 4670k CPU is only for overclocking, so if you don't plan on doing that, you can swap it for the cheaper 4670. If you do plan on OCing, water cooling might be plausible... Corsair H80i maybe?

Why go for reference GTX770 when you can get the Palit Jetstream one for the same price? GBros has them... brows.gif

Never did like the triple fan design of the Jetstreams. :/ But yeah, if TS wants to get it, why not. Though I would recommend water-cooling since he's going SFF.

...then the Palit reference one lo... whistling.gif

That would work. Slap a waterblock on it and it'll be good to go.

That's great, i just looked it up, seems to be quite easy to install.
It seems to cover CPU only? does that mean the GPU is still fan cooled?

sorry, new here, but what's IINM?
*
If you want to cool the GPU too then XSPC's Raystorm series of water-cooling systems allow you to add as many loops as you fit, but of course, it's going to cost you. I believe the mid-tier RS Series is about RM500~ while the high-end EX Series can go upwards of RM850~

i5 4670k is HASWELL chip you are referring to?
*
Yes, the mobo is also 1150 socket, along with a SFF casing etc etc. K or not, it depends on if you're going to OC or not.

TBH I would put my money on the Phanteks TC14PE cooler as the best air-cooled performer ATM. tongue.gif

What Phanteks lack of now is the marketing gimmick to promote their products. wink.gif
*
Best Air-cooled is fine but those things are huge! 0_0

Not that huge for medium/big chassis! whistling.gif

True. Been doing some reading up of them and I gotta say, I'm very impressed with the reviews!

TechPowerUp Review

Will put them into consideration when I build my heavy OC rig in a few months.

Which haswell already available?
*
Since you're taking 3570k, haswell equivalent is the i5 4670k, which is slightly more expensive.

nope, I haven't own them, juz planning to get.
wanted to get 4GB *2, but seem 8GB*2 more worth to get.
*
Forget about the ram. 32Gb worth of RAM is already overkill if you just plan to game on it, let alone high performance ram like the Platinum. At most, get any 8Gb value ram for 180-190 would do fine.

Actually I'm thinking of getting Asus mobo, since the color of Asus mobo match with EVGA GTX770...
tried asus and msi mobo, never use Gigabyte mobo before...
*
If you like the looks and have the budget, go for it. Glad to see a fellow EVGA enthusiast. brows.gif Btw, as you said, you no longer do graphics design so such high performance RAM is wasted(not to mention expensive) Get any single 8Gb value ram, or 2x8Gb mid-tier ones like RipJawsX XL-Reds if you really feel like having good quality RAM

ok thx all~
so I'll get 8GB value ram then...

btw, anymore mobo and PSU can recommend for me?
550W is enough? I tot need 650?

I went lowyat yesterday, the C-zone guy say atleast need 850W  rclxub.gif
*
Hahah. No way would you need more than 550w w/ a single GPY setup with no Overclocking. As for good PSUs, try Rosewill Capstone series, cheap but very effecient.

What would be the main difference of the 2GB version vs the 4GB version?
*
4Gb would be most noticeable when using multi-screen setup or a high res monitor above 1440p.

Building a new rig soon, so might as well run by people here first. tongue.gif

Core i5 4670k
Asrock Z87-Extreme4
Rosewill Tachyon 750w
NZXT Phantom
Phanteks PH-TC14PE

Apparently, my CPU cooler will be huge, so I'll need a suggestion on a low-profile RAM. Preferably, 1600Mhz, 16GB.

Also, Phantom or Primo Enthoo? Will be considering WC when I head into SLI.
