QUOTE(lingleeyen @ Jun 11 2013, 03:13 PM)
I have just installed the  DIY Voltage Stabiliser and Grounding Cable from one of the forumer, erictioh. There is alot of good effect posted by different car users. I am going to review one by one, which some effect will be later because I will need time (at least 1 week) to actually feel, check and verify because I do not want to write placebo effect review. I have just drove a 2km distance to really feel the effect.

My own identified problems:-

1) AC not cold enough. I am current set at 22 degC and I do not feel that the off coil temperature is 22 degC - Feels colder. Can be placebo effect. It was raining before it stopped and sun shined and hot again. TBC

2) 1st to 2nd gear change is noticeable. Not jerking, but the sound. Other gears not noticeable - This one can feel immediate improvement. Not noticeable now. TBC

3) Car vibrates very very little at idle, my butt can feel it - Car vibrates very very very very very little now during idling. The steel bottle in the bigger cup holder does not emmit vibrating sound like it used to. Be it in idling, or engage in D, with foot on brake. TBC

4) Some of the songs has interference noise in stock car audio, but nothing on laptop - Not able to fix. The interference is still there. But bass and the deep voice enhanced. Cleaner voice and sound now? Still very subjective. The sound level seems like enhanced. Level 6 volume now in Music is like level 7 before installation. Radio not yet tested. Might be placebo effect. let me check again when I am on highway. TBC

5) Wife said engine noise loud when she is outside of the car - Noticibly lower engine noise at idling and running. Might be placebo effect too. Sometimes under certain condition engine can be as quiet as a sleeping baby, sometimes a lion roar. My benchmark/ memory might be noise from morning crank up, or when the radiotor fan ngam ngam kick in. Wei...I seldom step out of the car after car start of walk out with engine still starting. TBC

6) Piggy back feel at traffic light - Have not run on full course to try drag. Will try later. TBC

Some user's possible positive effect apart from what I have listed:-
1) Gear shift smoother for all gears in AT - Have not tried full run. TBC
2) Light (Head, cabin, tail, etc...) become brighter and less dim when air-cond compressor kicks in - I do not feel compressor kicks in effect on this car even before installation. So when does the compressor kicks in, I do not know. I also do not observe any light dim or power loss. Now still afternoon. How to check light is brighter now or not leh? TBC
3) Reduce sudden car slow down when you rev and at the same time Air Cond compressor pumping - No feel on this car even if no installation. So this one can ommit.
4) Increase battery life span - Too early to tell
5) Improve ICE audio clarity and bass because your AMP needs clean and stable voltage - Same comment as number 4
6) Engine turns to be quieter and lower vibration because the power from spark plug is enough and misfire is reduced - Same comments as number 3
7) Increase engine life span by reduce carbon residual inside your engine chamber and also increase engine performance - Too early to tell
8) Increase life span of car ECU, Car Player, AMP, and other electrical or electronic components - Too early to tell9) Improve Fuel Consumption - Too early to tell
10) Easier morning start up crank - Will test in the morning. TBC
11) Lighter throttle - Will need to run full course. TBC

yup.. this is what I been thinkin too.. the diff is too little..
but it looks a bit weird if putting in 205/55/R16.. guess it's either comfort or looks for the rim+tyre..
never tested others car with 215/45/r17.. wonder whether it will feel the same like forte or nt..
maybe the suspension setup also play a part on the comfort level..
*
if u wanna remain 17" rim, perhaps u can go for 205/50/17
i think more comfort with min affect to speedmotor reading

Dude, I must say... I love the way you analyze things.
Your description is pretty elaborate as well.
Would love to meet up with you over a TT session to compare notes/experiences.

In any case, keep up the spirit and good work.
Cheerios!

P/S - how much did u get the Voltage Stabiliser for and is it plugged into your car via the 12v Power Outlet?

agree!

Lets have TT. I have not met other owners before besides 2 of my friends and one colleague.

We might be having TT next week with another 3 owner. I will be distributing the shark fin they ordered.

VS + Full copper grounding is 280. VS x 1, GC x 4 points.
*
bro, i think what rompers mean is the either plug the vs in the cig socket or connect to car batt

8 hours ++ because of traffic jam is it? Else you berkelah some where in the middle?

Back, hands, head, legs comfy. But everytime after I drive will be very fatigue. Too much alert on holes, motors, cars around, lorries + its goods how to position your car in traffic jam (so that motors don't scratch your car or hit your side mirror). STRESS! What do you expect, new car ma. Sayang abit.

bro, just to share my experience. after kena lotsa stone chip, scratches cause by the fler open car door beside my car n blablabla, i started to be numb shakehead.gif

I have lots of stone chips. Bought the EzyPaint. That is like the best companion and investment I have made. Have to be defensive lo. Try to park at the corner where your other side is wall, park far away from the side of other cars (but don't park 2 spots la), pull away from big lorries, give way to bikes in traffic jam.

Quiet, superb braking, wet grip, durability is my priority. I speed alot though.

I am not sure if I should go for GY Assy 2, Michelin PS3, Michelin Primacy ST3, Toyo T1 Sport, Toyo C1S.

Or I should try out Yoko CD2, Conti MC5.

Dilema.

Ya. A CD2 cost 320 each, a MC5 cost 320. A PS3, Assy2, T1 Sport cost 440 each.

So 320 x 4 = 1280
Trade in = 400
Balance 880

440 x 4 = 1760
Trade in = 400
Balance = 1360

The feeling of less than 900 makes me feel that I can take the money out easier. 1.4k looks like alot of money. So this one is dilema also.

i think asy2 suit u most except the $$

Belum tukar. Have not make up my mind yet. A friend is swearing by Assy 2 as in if the Assy 2 fail me he will jump off from KLCC. Bro Iz says MC5 is good for normal drive. I do think that my driving style is similar to Bro Iz. I do not have enough tyre experience. Maybe I just need the leap of faith? So I am in dilemma. Of course price is also an issue. Bro jeschong has gave me a contact. Suppose to be good price, but the quoted PS3 is 470 per piece including balancing allignment. So even if the trade in price for 4 tryes is 150 each, it will not really make any difference. I was quoted 440 else where.

no more 440 ar... maybe promo over...
