Just got my Nexus 7 today but I think I got a broken unit. It keeps crashing until it reboots itself. Already three times in the first half an hour of usage. All I did before that was signed in my Google account and let it charged. After 2 hour I just noticed there were  a lot of error messages.

BTW, just now I wasn't being clear enough. The first thing it did after booting out of box was actually updating itself to 4.3. I'm not sure if it installed or not because I left it charged.

I did factory reset and did not sign in my Google account. Played a while....auto rebooted again. Now I updated the Android version and made sure it installed. So far OK. But I still can't believe this device is not stable out of box. Did you guys also updated your N7?

Mine is 16GB version and still on JWR66N. So far it is stable after one OTA update. What I described in my previous posts was before updating.

damn, amazon delivered the wrong case to me - I ordered for n7 2nd gen but i got what looks like a galaxy tab 3.0 8 inch tab MOKO case! Anyone ever returned items to amazon before, how does it work? Really frustrated..shipping was like RM 50 + the case only USD 1...if i get refund also useless

Hi, may i ask did anyone had face audio stutter problem when rotating display on it ? Is it normal the volume down problem hard press,seem like the button sink compare with volume up and power button? thanks

Have any of you guys experienced random reboots while using the tablet?

when you say top as in top when in portrait mode? mine is at the top center, but kinda spreads across (more obvious in the top center area)

Get mine few days back then, really enjoy this tablet well!!!

Yesterday I tried watching and listening to some virtual surround video on YouTube. And I have to say the experience was awesome with the new nexus 7. Type in surround sound and choose the Samsung helicopter hd video and enjoy it yourself :-)

So far, is there any manufacturing defects found?

i hv a problem.

when i connect my N7 to my pc by MTP, my pc doesnt recognise my N7. nothing happen. USB Debug On/Off also cannot. so i cannot transfer anything now.
when i connect by PTP, with USB debugg ON, my pc will recognise. when USB Debug Off, nothing happen also.

so, why la cannot connect MTP one?

Fyi, i have a GNex and everything works perfectly. All can connect. both MTP or PTP.

Not me and I have no problem using the tablet. It's too good to hold, to use, to see and to hear. Don't let the complaints hold you back, you won't regret it trust me.

And google didn't screw up the nexus but in fact they have created a one hell of a device.

Their sales were great. Most outlets in the us have sold out their units as soon as they went on sale.
