QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Sep 13 2013, 09:58 AM) When is Asus Malysia Nexus 7 LTE be available? According to post#1420, Asus MY says October. QUOTE(dwks @ Sep 13 2013, 09:59 AM) Can someone tell me how long the nexus 7 screen on can last? I am assuming you are asking SOT. If only normal browsing and reading, you can get > 7 hours SOT, meanwhile, if I just do some normal browsing and reading, 1 hour SOT only uses 10% of the battery, I am currently on stock kernel, custom kernel could have better battery life I assume.

QUOTE(ShinnKQ @ Sep 16 2013, 01:05 AM) Alternative please? Want to use for VGA - Projector purposes. There are few Slimport cables, USB to HDMI, USB to DVI and USB to VGA, since all of them are listed under Slimport cable, so it is still quite expensive. For example, this Slimport USB to VGA cable costs you £19.95.

QUOTE(ShinnKQ @ Sep 16 2013, 02:06 AM) Dude, check the comments below. Lol. So far this is probably the only 1 that works...but need HDMI->VGA http://www.kanexlive.com/slimportSo it seems like only Slimport with USB to HDMI works, DVI and VGA are not working then.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Sep 16 2013, 09:16 AM) mind to tell which seller is that? i am getting it today...thinking of drop by lowyat plaza.. I don't think you can find one in lowyat plaza yet as it is not officially available here yet You can try to find those sellers in garage sales section of this forum, some of them might have ready stock which are imported from US.

QUOTE(slacker @ Sep 16 2013, 03:32 PM) Will the malaysia official set have the uk lte or us lte? If uk lte, more option of local ISP right? Compare to us lte? Can anyone confirm the band of ISP here and the support of those band by coming malaysia nexus 7? Europe LTE supports Band 3(1800MHz) and 7(2600MHz) which can be used on Maxis and Celcom LTE right now while DiGi only supports Band 7 at the moment. US LTE supports only Band 3(1800MHz) so you can only use Maxis and Celcom LTE on it. 3G/HSPA is expected to be backward compatible with all carriers in Malaysia.

QUOTE(xngjn @ Sep 17 2013, 02:12 PM) newegg selling 32gb is RM999, is it a good price? Is there any seller selling more cheaper? the warranty is international right? Newegg price for 32GB WiFi version is nice @RM999, most of the sellers in garage sales are selling RM999-RM1099, depending on the stock they have. And yes, it is under international warranty.

Try to press volume down + power button at the same time for at least 15 seconds and see if you can boot into fastboot mode with a big green android lying down at the middle of the screen, if can then you can just use the toolkit to flash back the stock image with option soft-bricked.

QUOTE(sebastianX11 @ Sep 18 2013, 02:53 PM) cant wait for it to launch but will s4 pro have problem with kit kat later on? Oh well, if s4 pro got problem with 4.4 later, then I think Nexus 4 users are also having the "lag" issue that you are facing now in your old Nexus 7 since Nexus 4 is using s4 pro too. QUOTE(cybersim2 @ Sep 18 2013, 03:59 PM) Where can I find 32GB LTE if Asus decide to launch in Msia later ? Lowyat plaza or any other Asus authorized store etc. It should be easy to find after the official launch just like last year when old Nexus 7 was launched, you can find them through online store and physical store.

QUOTE(sidneyficance @ Sep 18 2013, 04:11 PM) My Nexus 7 screen got busted. It can't detect my touch. Any recommendations on where to get it fixed for cheap? What is the damage am I looking at? Would it be better to just buy a new unit. Sighhh...heartbroken more money out this month Err, you are using the new Nexus 7 2013? If yes then it is quite hard to repair now according to a forumer here because parts are yet to arrive in Malaysia and might need to wait up to 2 months.

QUOTE(sidneyficance @ Sep 18 2013, 04:16 PM) The old one. Lol. I use it with the original casing - but it's not as hardy as I thought. I have been just carrying it about in my laptop bag. Didn't drop it or anything. But there is like a crack on one part of the screen. This is new Nexus 7 thread Old Nexus 7 should be quite easy to repair as parts are available, if I am not mistaken , if you take your unit to Asus @Lowyat Plaza, they will quote you RM430 for screen replacement. But for me, I would recommend you to buy the new Nexus 7 2013, it is really improved a lot in terms of performance

QUOTE(sidneyficance @ Sep 18 2013, 04:39 PM) Ah ok ok...sorry sorry....noob... LOL...anyway - how much is the new Nexus? LOL. The sign from the gods to upgrade! :-> Asus MY will start selling 16GB WiFi @RM999 and 32GB WiFi+LTE @RM1299 in next month. But if you are looking for WiFi unit only then try to buy from garage sale sellers, most of them are selling <RM900 for 16GB WiFi and ~RM1000 for 32GB WiFi, or alternatively, you can buy from Newegg Malaysia, RM899 for 16GB WiFi and RM999 for 32GB WiFi.
