That is VERY SAD indeed.. they mention this route got more users/residents than mrt1.. hope they can make it 6 car n maximum 1 minute headway so the train can last for the next 50yrs...I expect MRT1 with 4 cars n 3.5min headway(initially) to be VERY CROWDED...

I also find their method of counting 400k ppl per day to be very dubious..mind u, the main crowd will be 6.30 am to 9.30am & 5 pm to 8pm & we can only fit around 22k pphpd now.. Peak hours: 22k*3= 66k ppl only with the current amount of trains.. ofcos, we can top it up to 1 min headway (MAX) n achieve 72kpphpd..

If they can make it 6 trains, we can hit 33k now n a max of 110k with 1 min headway..

They havent accounted for the rise in population & the connecting train lines like the LRT3 etc..

I think the KLCC MRT 2 station location is VERY GOOD as it's beside n will be connected to KLCC new twin towers (fairmont hotel+new office tower) with mall below.. If one wants to access twin towers frm thr can walk thru the mall or in the park.. At least KLCC will have train footfall fr both ends of this Huge mall

They MUST build a walkway from all those high dense apartments thr to increase the number of ppl riding the MRT..

I hope gov't taxes city carparks n also stop subsizing those highway close to LRT extension n MRT1 post completion.. do the same for MRT2 n LRT3 when complete..

Setia sky only got KLCC name but probably kg baru address.. its a rubbish property to hold on to 5 yrs as the MRT will not bring commercial activity to the area... suitable fr those who drive to work la..

I have quite many high income friends taking lrt n even ktm to work. some of them earn more than 50k p/month. In fact, many big MNCs staff mostly take train to work. They save SO MUCH of time by taking d train n dont have to wait 2 hours before they can depart in their cars.
