QUOTE(Seoliem @ Jul 15 2013, 12:06 PM) to be honest...take out Rooney and RVP, our squad is really average. Don't you saw it last season? Even with legendary SAF, we struggling every match to control possession and we win the match because of quality finishing from RVP and Hernandez that saves/won Man Utd many games and also don't forget De Gea saves. When the last times you saw Man Utd win comfortably? Relax man.Welbeck is never a world class, and never will be IMHO. Stats won't lie. 26 PL games 1 goal. 80% of Man Utd games last season when Welbeck is starting, Man Utd has failed to win the match. IMO, He got more chance to play than Macheda is only because he's English. The new Manchester United boss has targeted both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo — even though they would cost over £75million EACH. Moyes declared: “Isn’t it great that the club says, ‘There’s no budget here, you go get who you want to get, just go and do it’. "We are looking at the best players. I do think it’s important that we show people we are carrying on the traditions and trying to take the club forward.” United’s current record fee is the £30.75m they paid Tottenham for Dimitar Berbatov in 2007. Spurs wing wizard Bale, 23, and Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo, 28, would cost way over double that, though. Asked about Bale and Ronaldo, Moyes said: “I will not name anybody but certainly we are always looking at the best players. “I think we are trying to strengthen in a couple of areas. We are short in midfield. We are also a club which tends to invest in the youth side, so you can expect us to go for players in that age group. “We are working hard to make sure the first signing is the right one. “I have been left a really good team and I want to add to it sensibly.” United remain keen on Leighton Baines, one of Moyes’ stars at former club Everton. But the Red Devils will not increase their £12m offer, meaning the England left-back will have to put in a transfer request if he wants to move. QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jul 15 2013, 11:13 AM) Agreed but you know, the German league is not very competitive. So basically the only rivals are Dortmund only? Only Europe to play for. ohohoho. no it isn't.I have to say German League is very competitive. Leverkusen, Dortmund, Schalke, Munich, Hamburg. It's like EPL, but with even more unpredictability. |

Don't dream la...Thiago oso can't sign lolIMO, all this talk about we are looking for "Stellar" player and limitless budget are just because to cover up the failure to sign our main target, Thiago. |

QUOTE(Sheep319 @ Jul 15 2013, 12:38 PM) ohohoho. no it isn't. Hmm not forgetting Borussia Mönchengladbach but the league lacks the appeal of the Premier League in terms of commercial income and popularity as compared to Liverpool, Spurs and Newcastle United etc. As you've said, something like EPL, but probably still growing larger. But at the moment, the German league is pretty much a two-horse race as predicted as the last team to win out of the two is Wolfsburg who won it in 2008-2009 season. Much alike the Spanish League between Barca and Real Madrid. Will defo change in future of course I have to say German League is very competitive. Leverkusen, Dortmund, Schalke, Munich, Hamburg. It's like EPL, but with even more unpredictability. |

QUOTE(budakhijau @ Jul 15 2013, 12:41 PM) ahaha...so no thiago then...all butthurt...lost 1st pre-season...already #moyesout...how about #<insertyourname>OUT...lol... hahaha you are so positive bro look...why do we need 'stellar, marquee, mega, blockbuster' signing...CR,bale,thiago,etc etc...do we really need it...for me...our lad is all world class...welbeck will be world class someday...do u think all the world class player never miss chances...he has all the attribute to be a world class player...just give him time n experience...he will make it...i really dont understand if fans cried for unrealistic signing...moyes said even rooney is not bigger than the club...yes he is important n can play a big role if he stay...but more important is the team...the club...not individual...all the other team RM,BM,barca, chelsea, man city...all of them are world class is it to ur eyes... #ENDOFRANTING btw...rio says...training under moyes...the intensity is higher...i like that...it come from the player who taste the training first hand...moyes is a hands on manager sumore... “I told them [the players] to get their finger out and give a bit more,” Moyes explains. “I have no problem with that. It was to let them know this is what is going on. I cannot call it the hairdryer – I think someone else has already done that.” Like Fergie’s hairdryer; the rebuke had the desired effect. “When you work with top players, if they think they have not got it right it is ‘no problem, you are right, we’ve got the message, we did not do it that well’,” Moyes says. “The top players are inspiring me. Good coaches see it – and see what the players need. The players see it. I have seen Ryan [Giggs] pull one or two and seen Rio [Ferdinand] say to some of them: ‘Come on, you have to do a bit better’ – settle down a bit’.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...ng-sweetly.html and about Wellbeck being world class is a joke right ? |

QUOTE(Sifha238 @ Jul 15 2013, 02:53 PM) hahaha you are so positive bro QUOTE Strengthening the midfield, Moyes acknowledges, where the first-team squad is “short” is the priority while, he adds, there is “no pressure to sell” any players. Despite United’s spending power he concedes “it’s a tough market out there” and highlights the emergence of Paris St-Germain as another challenge in Europe. QUOTE(Sifha238 @ Jul 15 2013, 02:53 PM) You can predict the future right? Sir Alex Ferguson and some England managers who played him thinks he should play and who are you to say he wont be?Seriously, wtf with this negativity in this thread??? It's not like we lost the EPL ffs, we won it. Arsenal has Cazorla, Rosicky, Arteta, even Wilshere coming back from injury, that is weak? We won the tittle with I can say at ease at the end of the day is either us, having a MEDIOCRE team, won that shit that other WORLD CLASS players did not win, or the WORLD CLASS players did not step up like what they are touted for. Our team won it. Give credit where is due la bro. |

not sayin our squad is weak but there are areas for improvement. this comin season wont be an easy one with JM back at helm @ Chelsea, Tottenham keep improving, City with new manager & new recruits, Liverpool lurking around & not forgetting Arsenal. heck, even mid table teams like Swansea/Soton can give top four clubs a run for their money...
it's gonna be a bumpy ride for Moyes on his 1st season, as long as we are still playin d way we used to play (that never say die attitude) i'm contented enough liao. |

Sir Alex Ferguson and some England managers who played him thinks he should play and who are you to say he wont be? you really think Man Utd will be the same without SAF now ? Moyes might suitable to replace SAF but he need at least 1 season or maybe 2 season to adapt to the pressure being Man UTd manager, he manage Everton all the while which his target every season is to finish top half.Seriously, wtf with this negativity in this thread??? It's not like we lost the EPL ffs, we won it. Arsenal has Cazorla, Rosicky, Arteta, even Wilshere coming back from injury, that is weak? Things look negative right now and of coz you will expect certain fan will act negatively, from SAF resignation to miss Alcantara (last time i will mention his name here) to lose against Thailand in the useless friendly It's up to you if you believe we can compete with Chelsea, Barca, Bayern, Real with current squad but not me We are Man Utd and we have right expecting world class player to come and play with us, we want CR, Robben, Ribery, Gotze, Ozil, De Maria....not Ashley Young or Antonio Valencia |

Seems the club are playing hardball with Rooney. Moyes latest comments :
“Overall my thought on Wayne is, if for any reason we had an injury to Robin van Persie, we’ll need him,” said Moyes. “Wayne can play up on his own, he can play dropped in. It’s going to be a time to see how I work with Wayne. “Manchester United isn’t about Wayne Rooney. Manchester United is about the team – the club. “I won’t allow Wayne Rooney to become more important than the football club and the football team, because that’s the heart of it.” I think it's either rooney wants out or we're forcing him out, can't find any other explanation for those comments, i trust moyes either way. |
