Good luck Thiago with "more playing time". icon_rolleyes.gif
I believe coming world cup not his target. Just want to learn more under Pep.

Yup. Like what happened when they played in China, their names were in Chinese. Good move I would say  drool.gif

Smart marketing, United always in the forefront.
While others follow, we lead.

Bale or Ronaldo?  wub.gif

I can understand where they are coming from.
They aren't above paying for a big name player, but they don't want a big ego to come into the team.
It must be someone that would fit into the system.

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jul 14 2013, 10:14 PM)
Who wouldn't jump a chance to play for United? We are one of the most popular brand in the world, playing for United will boost their popularity even more, in terms of commercial and a great history backing them, I don't see why would any player refuse to join United should they come hunting for them?

United can offer Bale Champions League football and chances of him winning a trophy will be higher compared to Real Madrid and the plus point of joining United is because we are a British club and Bale is a Welsh, Giggs is a good example. Arsenal is a different story, trophy-less for 8 seasons in a row (not bashing, it is real facts), a real example of RVP jumping ship and won a title within his very first season?

Even if DM is not attractive to major stars, the history of Manchester United tells a story. As they say, no personnel is bigger than Manchester United.  thumbup.gif

Rightly said.
There are people comparing our history to others like Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc.
So which other club in history has had churned out more Sir's, dramatic moments, and marketing forefront (which everyone else is emulating) than United?
Real Madrid history was created squarely by Alfredo Di Stefano and Santiago Bernabeu.
Why isn't Sir Alex and Sir Bobby's presence at the club any more richer?

and the fella had the gall to sign the jersey of that fan and give everyone hope.
if he was undecided he shouldn't have signed.
just goes to show that he is willing to do the 'donkey show' to get what he wants.
hope he enjoys warming the bench as pep didn't give him much playing time either when he was boss dry.gif

Middle of the park: Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez, Luiz Gustavo, Toni Kroos, Emre Can, Mario Goetze, Claudio Pizarro
At the sides: Arjen Robben, Thomas Mueller, Xherdan Shaqiri, Franck Ribery, David Alaba

The players I've bolded are world class players and are used to being XI for club and country.
That doesn't mean players Kroos, Shaqiri, Alaba and Pizarro are chicken liver either.
>60% of games played in 2013/2014? yeah right! thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Sifha238 @ Jul 15 2013, 06:52 AM)
Think back, Thiago rumor start before 1st July, so I belip Moyes, Thiago not really his target biggrin.gif
At least go get Afroman la Moyes, we have no one that score header from corner or free kick right noe
*
Afroman has always been a more realistic target and ticks all the boxes of someone whom can carry the flag left by Fletcher.

and good luck Thiago. have fun warming benches or making coffee for the boss during games. tongue.gif

It's ok, I'm sure Moyes is eyeing better ones. Afro, ?Bale, ?CR, all fit in with what we are lacking.

history wise we are up there.. many player i believe would love to play for united.. but then again at this moment we are still behind the pecking order of barca, RM, bayern. even chelsea looks more interesting these day plus wt extra cash. then theres clubs wt a lot cash to offer.. city,PSG, monaco la..

thiago still very young on pep day at barca.. being a pep man, countryman, a new signing.. thiago sure can challange for a spot there. for sure pep also wanna make statement tht this bayern is his team.. but is sure nice to see him rotten in bench tongue.gif

In modern day football, money is the major factor now. Don't tell me Thiago joined Bayern for footballing reasons, utter BS because Barca has lesser midfielders than Bayern and it would be easier if he just stayed in Camp Nou like that wouldn't it?

As much as I like Thiago, missing out on him wouldn't affect us much. There are other experienced players who we can pursue, but I trust DM has a few targets of his own. Come on David, bring on a stellar signing. Fabregas would suit the bill?

On the side note, our tiny rivals lost 2-0 to an African side. So Citeh fans will say #PellegriniOut? Lol

Afro really usefull, can be our next ulility man, despite DM he can play striker too, RVP Rooney Wellbeck Chica not very good in the air, might usefull in certain game.....and with his height and roughness maybe can play CB too, as we know no matter how many CB we sign all of them will get injured at same time

Aside from CM might be nice if we can get new pacey winger right now, Bayern team very scary, in certain position like CM and wing even their sub better than our 1st eleven biggrin.gif

Agreed but you know, the German league is not very competitive. So basically the only rivals are Dortmund only? Only Europe to play for.

How Thiago would fit in assuming everyone in Bayern Munich, as of now, is staying. The midfield breaks down like this:

Defensive midfielders: Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez, Luiz Gustavo, Toni Kroos, Emre Can, David Alaba.

Right wing: Arjen Robben, Thomas Mueller, Xherdan Shaqiri.

Left wing: Franck Ribery, Shaqiri, David Alaba.

Central attacking midfielder: Mario Goetze, Mueller, Kroos, Ribery, Claudio Pizarro, Schweinsteiger.

ahaha...so no thiago then...all butthurt...lost 1st pre-season...already #moyesout...how about #<insertyourname>OUT...lol...

look...why do we need 'stellar, marquee, mega, blockbuster' signing...CR,bale,thiago,etc etc...do we really need it...for me...our lad is all world class...welbeck will be world class someday...do u think all the world class player never miss chances...he has all the attribute to be a world class player...just give him time n experience...he will make it...i really dont understand if fans cried for unrealistic signing...moyes said even rooney is not bigger than the club...yes he is important n can play a big role if he stay...but more important is the team...the club...not individual...all the other team RM,BM,barca, chelsea, man city...all of them are world class is it to ur eyes...

#ENDOFRANTING

btw...rio says...training under moyes...the intensity is higher...i like that...it come from the player who taste the training first hand...moyes is a hands on manager sumore...

“I told them [the players] to get their finger out and give a bit more,” Moyes explains. “I have no problem with that. It was to let them know this is what is going on. I cannot call it the hairdryer – I think someone else has already done that.”
Like Fergie’s hairdryer; the rebuke had the desired effect. “When you work with top players, if they think they have not got it right it is ‘no problem, you are right, we’ve got the message, we did not do it that well’,” Moyes says.
“The top players are inspiring me. Good coaches see it – and see what the players need. The players see it. I have seen Ryan [Giggs] pull one or two and seen Rio [Ferdinand] say to some of them: ‘Come on, you have to do a bit better’ – settle down a bit’.”

to be honest...take out Rooney and RVP, our squad is really average. Don't you saw it last season? Even with legendary SAF, we struggling every match to control possession and we win the match because of quality finishing from RVP and Hernandez that saves/won Man Utd many games and also don't forget De Gea saves. When the last times you saw Man Utd win comfortably?

Welbeck is never a world class, and never will be IMHO. Stats won't lie. 26 PL games 1 goal. 80% of Man Utd games last season when Welbeck is starting, Man Utd has failed to win the match. IMO, He got more chance to play than Macheda is only because he's English.
